The problem here is that the US has so many taboos around contraception. Particularly condoms. So many men refuse to wear them because of the stigma or because of urban myths.

Moreover many of the same organizations that fight against abortion also campaign against things sex ed in schools, or against girls getting the pill without their parent's consent.

I read it too and he promises that NO, this decision will not affect other RIGHTS in potential jeopardy if this conservative SCOTUS applies the same reasoning to other RIGHTS they deem not based on the constitution like gay marriage or contraception or civil rights.

Without knowing more about him, I have no idea whether he was lying or legitimately changed his mind. Either is possible. If he lied, I don't support that. That has no bearing on the legitimacy of the ruling though. Roe was never on sound legal ground.

It's pretty well acknowledged even in liberal circles that Obama lied about marriage to get votes. If he wasn't lying, then he was a gay-hating bigot. So they prefer to think and admit that he lied and tricked some conservatives into voting for him.

The simple fact of the matter is that neither side can agree on how to define life, let alone when life "begins".

My home country defines "life" as when a fetus is capable of surviving after a premature birth. If it's too early then it's not a baby yet.

this is the law in germany:

§ Section 218a time limit solution with mandatory counseling): the pregnant woman requests the abortion and can prove that she has participated in a pregnancy conflict counseling session and has subsequently observed a three-day reflection period. In this case, the abortion is only punishable within the first twelve weeks after fertilization (i.e. 14 weeks calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period). For the pregnant woman, this exception applies up to the 22nd week (24 weeks p.m.), in contrast to the physician under § 218a para.
§ 218a Abs. 2 (medical indication): There is a danger for the life or the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman, which can be averted only by an abortion. Then there is impunity during the entire period of pregnancy. This reason was given in 3,785 abortions in 2016.
§ Section 218a criminogenic or criminological indication): there is reason to believe that the pregnancy is a consequence of rape or a comparable sexual offense. Again, abortion is only permitted within the first twelve weeks. This reason was given in 17 abortions in 2019.

Maybe you should direct your ire at the people who spread this misinformation. If this stigma didn't exist, then there would be fewer unplanned pregnancies, and thus fewer abortions.

Remember, it's not just the woman making a poor life choice, it's also a guy who believes some garbage story that they read on the internet about chemicals in condoms effecting fertility or restricting blood flow, or whatever the doom porn of the day is.

I believe this is a human rights issue.

I also believe that the unborn human is, well, human.
