6 August Update

Key Takeaways

* A Russian opposition outlet reported that Russian forces are storing explosives and mines in and around Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and may have mined parts of the plant. Russian forces may also be firing rockets at Ukrainian positions from within or near the plant.

* Russian forces conducted limited ground attacks northwest of Slovyansk and east and south of Bakhmut.

* Russian forces conducted a series of ground attacks to attempt to break through Ukrainian defensive lines north, west, and south of Donetsk City.

* Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations in southern Ukraine and continued to undertake defensive measures.

* Ongoing Ukrainian partisan activity and civilian resistance are frustrating Russian occupation forces as Russian occupation authorities continue to prepare for the integration of occupied territories into the Russian Federation following their upcoming sham annexation referenda.

* Russian state media advocated for labor camps, repressions, and shooting of Ukrainian partisans and civilians that refused to cooperate with Russian-appointed officials in occupied Ukrainian territories.

The Russians learned lessons from the loss of the Moskva. Vessels that are expendable or relativity easy to replace are suitable for the air defence/picket duty role. However, one of the undocumented issues facing today's navy is the construction or repair times for ships damaged or lost in combat, excluding the People's Liberation Army Navy. Also, repairing warships potentially clogs up a country's shipyards.

Interesting article here about the Ukrainian partisan resistance.

If your country was invaded, would you do the same, as in resist the invader?

Or might you apologize for atrocities and bend over and take it?

Like many on here advocate?

Read article where many of the Russians are drunk (you think ?) and that groups of children and teenagers are mobbing
isolated drunken Russians in street and stabbing them

Russian occupation troops are being sniped or attacked with car bombs

Ukrainian collaborators are being hunted down and murdered, "death" leaflets are circulated with their pictures before they are killed

Life is becoming hell in Kherson

Nope, just have no clue what you are ranting about. Hope you are not trying to destabilise these civil discussions.

8 August Update

Key Takeaways

* Reporting of a likely falsified Russian statement distracts from the real risks of a Russian-caused nuclear disaster at Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Russian forces continue to conduct attacks from and store military equipment near the plant’s nuclear reactors, likely to play upon Western fears of a nuclear disaster and degrade Western will to provide additional military support to Ukraine.

* Russian forces conducted ground attacks northwest of Slovyansk and northeast and southeast of Bakhmut.

* Russian forces continued ground attacks northwest and southwest of Donetsk City.

* Russian officials postponed reopening the Antonivskyi Bridge after a Ukrainian strike damaged the bridge and nearby construction equipment.

* Russian forces are deploying less-professional occupation forces and increasing pressure on Ukrainian populations in occupied areas.

Russia denies it was a Ukranian attack, but who believes Russia anymore after they said they were not going to invade Ukraine? They say the cause was “violation of fire safety requirements.”:

Large explosions rock Russian military air base in Crimea

Russia’s state news agency Tass quoted an unidentified ministry source as saying the explosions’ primary cause appeared to be a “violation of fire safety requirements.” The ministry said no warplanes were damaged.

Yeah, right...accidental fires dont set off simultaneous massive explosions hundreds of meters apart, as shown in the footage accompanying the following tweet. Also, Ukraine has claimed responsibility.

"They say the cause was “violation of fire safety requirements.”

Hmmm... that definition might include a Ukrainian attack?

Nope, Democrats love war, Bill Maher already calls it "our" war with Russia.

I thought we were just providing aid?
