French arms manufacturer Nexter has been asked by President Macron to increase its production of Caesar howitzer weapons, a source close to the defence ministry tells Reuters.

Nexter is being urged to work in a "wartime" mode, the source says.

I guess this has happened in other places already, but still very good that France is signaling they're in it for the long run.

Yeah the same thing is happening in the US. Trying to get items Ukraine needs while at the same time replenishing US stockpiles. Even Russian industry (military related) are slowly being converted to a war time mode.
