Are 22,000 Russian soldiers trapped in Izyum after general killed? Latest battlefield developement

This could be the turning point in Phase 2 of the Russian special operation in the Donbas 2022 when General Valery Gerasimov was nearly killed in an Ukraine artillery strike around the town of Izyum. At least 200 Russian troops along with General Andrei Simonov were killed in the attack. With the loss of yet another commander, these troops are becoming combat ineffective and vulnerable to encirclement at Izyum as the Ukraine army continues their counter offensive attack.

Sounds like their god may face counterbattery fires shortly. Artillery duels aren't fun when one is outranged.

The next time Ukraine gets a large number of Russians in a vulnerable position, they should annihilate them. Stinging defeats are the only thing that will bring the Russians to earnest negotiations.

It's happening right now east of Kherson, the remaining russian troops appear to be defenseless sitting ducks, nearly all poorly trained conscript types with nothing that has the range to strike back, zero mobility, and no sign of any surviving leadership for a couple days.

With the russian border just behind them, so they're not likely to be allowed to retreat, and haven't even tried so far.

Ukrainians aren't encountering any surviving russians as they leap frog forward.

The cockwomble at about 1:20 mark ticks a few scum of the earth boxes and is such a smart cookie ta boot.

I suspect that Putin's regime is on a death ride, not unlike Germany (WW2) and Confederacy (U.S. Civil War). So he will dispatch Russian forces into Ukraine until there is an outcome. Putin doesn't have any wriggle room for negotiation, which is a product of his warped imperial ambitions/ideology.

Like Hitler and Stalin, Putin doesn't care about the welfare of his armed forces or the number of battlefield casualties they incur. Also, there is the question of how sustainable the casualties and loss of equipment are for Russia and Ukraine. Russia has little or no international support relating to intel sharing and supplying military equipment. Ukraine's population/military personnel base is smaller than Russia's, but they have access to international assistance across that spectrum.

I don't see him, by virtue of his nationality and location, being much of an expert on the historical or geopolitical factors underlying the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine was not 'in the process of joining NATO' and Zelinsky requested, begged for, and even DEMANDED an opportunity to negotiate with the putin madman, making your claims completely absurd.
