I remember a small outbreak of Q fever down in Australia back in March 2020.

Acute Q fever is easily treated. The treatment of choice is doxycycline, 100mg twice daily for 14 days. This treatment is not effective for chronic Q fever; instead, drug combinations such as doxycycline plus hydroxychloroquine are considered the most efficacious treatment in chronic cases.

Q-Vax (short for Q fever vaccine) is a WCV that is licensed for use in Australia from CSL Limited, a com-pany based in Victoria, Australia; it is the most widely studied Q fever vaccine.
