Then I guess you just don't understand what my words are conveying because of your POV that says "We're all one Spirit in Jesus Christ".

Some people's POV is that we are not and here you are telling them what their POV is.

The reason they are angry is because of what awaits them if they are wrong. That is a big pill to swallow so they act out and vent and try very very hard to convince others they are right. There is the perception of safety in numbers. If they yell loud enough and convince a few people they are right it makes them feel a little bit better about themselves. Until they die, then its hellfire and damnation. But until then, woohoo....

I won’t pretend to be an expert in religion but….
It’s hard to imagine a god that would punish someone that didn’t believe instead of someone that claims to believe and is constantly committing sins.

Saying: "Flyintheoinment is saying your works is all that you need and that's just a lie." seemed overly harsh.

Why can't you just let their relationship with god be theirs without getting all worked up about it not being by the book?

It's just the truth and it isn't harsh at all. Harsh is saying this:

Creationists are stupid people who believe everyone else is as stupid as they are.

Only other stupid people can't see it, and that is precisely what coop and other creationist hypocrites are relying on.

It's funny that the same people who say some of the meanest things about God and those who believe in God are complaining that I'm harsh. Really?

Given the fact that this is the first time I've commented on a thread like this for some time then no, I am not 'Continually commenting', I merely happened to see this and comment on it as I'm tired of people telling lies about atheists.
But thank you for confirming my point that religious people scream and shout a lot about atheists without ever telling the truth about them.

Yes, really.

People who are antagonistic towards your beliefs, and therefore you, are expected to act like this.

You on the other hand are being harsh to someone who is on your side because they interpret things a little different.

I was once told by someone close to me that the answer to this question was:

You always told me to pray to God/Jesus if I needed help, and I did, and he didn’t help me. Which broke my heart into pieces.

If that person ever reads this. I want you to know that god cannot stop evil acts caused by people all the time, that is why we have soldiers, police, court systems.

But God can send you love. So please accept the real love when you are offered it, and you know a liar and a bad guy when you see one 💙.

Evil like that will be avenged in the kingdom of Heaven, and evil people like that will NEVER have inner peace or love!

Matter of fact something made nothing . What? I got no clue and it's not helping me in life . I'm not going to spend my life telling others I know and it's the only way. That should be a 3rd grade thought after you learn Santa isn't real .

I am angry about how the 'idea' of a God still divides people, still is cause for war and hatred, and still inspires people to harm one and other in the name of whatever religion, still is used to spark fear in children (and adults!), still dictates on how to live our lives... an idea that is so primitive that it's actually hilarious that it is still around anno 2022.

I get that people need something to hang on to, something that gives them hope and comfort, especially the hope for some kind of afterlife because the idea of permanent death is maybe the most frightening of all... So for all the believers out there, can simply 'believing' not be enough?

Even as an atheist I still hope for something more for our souls after this life, I don't want to believe that death is the end and sometimes I can even 'feel' that it is not. My guess is on simulation theory, no Deities in the sky involved. Seems more plausible to me... but I never hated someone for telling me it isn't true, I never started a war over it, never used it to frighten my children with...

everyone gets their just rewards in the end. committing sins like what? drinking?gambling? sleeping with a hot date who is not your hubbie or wife? not tipping the valet or barista?

killing a hobo? or family of 10 with a missile?

exposing ones self in times square? killing a 5 yr old coz you can't shoot straight?
