Maybe it's because of people like you. Smug, self-righteous people who think they are special because they claim they are favoured by a god because some ancient book says so. People who have to rub it in at any and every opportunity. Add in a long history of people doing horrific evils in the name of their god - wars, child abuse, spousal abuse, misogyny, homophobia, murders of people who choose to live life on their own terms or even worship the same god in a different way. All the innocent lives ruined, and all the unanswered prayers of the victims. God didn't lift a finger to save any of them, so if he does indeed exist, everyone should be asking questions of a god who claims to be a benevolent saviour, demanding our worship and generally making us feel guilty for even being born. Not being an ass-kissing sycophant.

I don't know whether god exists. I am sure we are not the pinnacle of life and intelligence in the universe. It is far too vast and we are far too limited to comprehend what is happening in or outside of the universe. We don't even know what the universe actually is. But at the same time, to think we are special in a universe so vast is just overinflated egos overestimating their place in existence. The sad fact is if we wipe ourselves out tomorrow, the universe wont notice or care, and will continue on without us. Maybe there is better life than ours on other planets out there.

You said:

Maybe stop pushing so hard?

So pushing hard is starting a thread in a forum that's designed to debate these issues?

What you're really saying is, don't make me think. Stop posting so much because your posts are making my spiritual mind question my carnal mind.

I thank God for this. Like I said, I'm nothing and God is everything.

As Christians, we're supposed to plant and water seeds but God gives the increase. Paul talked about this:

3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

So no, I will never stop "pushing so hard."

Right, because people saying I'm an atheist and I can't be angry at something I don't believe exists totally proves the premise of the OP.

Atheists getting triggered by a post saying how God triggers atheists proves the point of the OP

It isn't starting the thread that is pushing hard. I'm talking about starting a bunch of threads and you pushing hard in them for dozens of pages.

He's enthusiastic about it. If you knew what he knew, you'd understand his enthusiasm. But you don't so you ridicule him for speaking his mind.

These threads are not for god, they are for the OPs who want to feel they are part of something.

Even if that's true, what's the big deal?

Maybe stop pushing so hard?

He's making an observation. And if you read through the thread it's evident he was correct

No, the OP said "atheists are angry at god" not "atheists are triggered by threads about god".

Replying with "I can't hate what I don't believe in" isn't being triggered. It is just explaining one's position.

Nope, I ridiculed his claim that he knew what people, who he has never met, are feeling.

Even if that's true, what's the big deal?

None, others are here to counter the claim, that is what forums are about. So, what is the big deal with people disagreeing with the OP?

No, because many atheists are not angry at god, they can't be because they don't believe that being even exists.

ETA: If you had read through the thread nobody has said "I'm angry at god". Some showed disdain for the "church" and even "preachy christians" but not god.

I don't angry at a non-existent being made out of myth and wishful thinking. I get irked at having religion pushed into my face by people are 100% convinced that only their particular facet of religion is correct. I also get contemptuous at hucksters who scream about their religion at the top of their lungs, before demanding that vulnerable people send them money so that they can buy a new private jet to allow them to take their newest young trophy wife to the Cayman Islands to show off her new, expanded, chest.
Let me break it down to you in simple terms. First, you can't prove a book of myths by citing that same book of myths. It's like proving that Biggles existed based on the books, or Lord Peter Wimsey, or Hercule Poirot. Second, I don't bother people with my atheism, I don't go door to door to ask people if they've heard the non-news. Why can't religious people afford me the same sentiment?
So: not angry. Irked, contemptuous and trying to be polite.

A lot of people start threads and debate in the threads they post. That's what ATS is here for and that's why they have so many different forums.

What you're really saying is, the threads are challenging to those that don't believe in God. Again, I'm nothing and God is everything. That's just the carnal mind that doesn't want to hear spiritual truth.

All I ask is, for those that may not believe in God but read my threads and others, if God is calling you, listen.

I still don't understand why atheists even bother with these discussions. If there is no God and no enduring purpose in life and we all inevjtably return to eternal non-existence then stop wasting your few ticks left of existence arguing against something you don't even believe exists.

There are countless indignant things you and the others have said directly about God. Want me to make a thread quoting all of them? I probably won't because the seething disdain is quite sickening, even just to copy and paste it

I'll say they are challenging in the sense that they have a different point of view and want to explain why that is.

Your threads are not god calling me. They are just infotainment and a way to spend a slow sunday afternoon.

Frankly because a lot of atheists are simply of the opinion that we want to be left alone by religious lunatics who make things up about them, like this silly concept that they're angry at god.
How can one be angry at something that doesn't exist?
No, I get a bit cross at people using religion to enrich themselves, or gain power or influence, or gain things that don't belong to them. I also get a bit cross at people who lie about facts. Ken Ham's Ark Experience is an excellent example of something that would make me laugh hysterically at all of his lies, followed by rolling my eyes at the hypocrisy.

It's not a different point of view.

It's a point of view that's recognized even by atheists. That's because we're all one Spirit in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us this is clearly understood by all:

Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

But you and the others are continually commenting your disdain in threads about God. So it is very apparent this is not the case.

That is done to drive a point. It doesn't mean I actually believe god exists and I am angry at them for this that or the other.

Like I said before, attacking the idea doesn't mean you are angry at god. It would be like being angry at a character in a movie.

Of all the possible hedonistic enjoyment you guys sure picked the worst one.

So you equate yourself to someone debating semantics about Harry Potter movies?

Really, if someone says they have a different point of view, you are saying it is not a different point of view. How is that not you telling them what their POV is?

When it comes to religious threads, yes.
