Why are atheist so angry with God?

So what you're saying is, I should start a thread and then just be quiet.

I understand why you and others will say this. You can't refute what I'm saying so you want me to be quiet.

It's not me, it's the spirit within me. I'm nothing and God is everything.

So when you say things like this, I rejoice. I know there's some who may have rejected God who are hearing the call of God through their spirit.

I'm saying you should be satisfied with your holy communion and stop composing topics that talk down to people for not being as smart as you. You're actively pushing people away because no god who respects your tone and values can be good news, or at the very least they haven't figured out what you're doing and unplugged your microphone.

I think you are confusing attacking the idea as an attack on god.

Also, it is probably done to get a rise out of people like you.

If people choose to believe jesus existed or not, or even that he did but isn't the son of god, that is on them. It doesn't mean they are angry at him or god.

They might be lashing out at the people who they feel lied to them but that isn't the same thing.

Clearly you're not an expert in anything, no one is taking you seriously and that's what is truly bothering you. It's not our fault if you volunteered for a job the universe never meant you to have.

As an atheist I'm not angry with something that does not exist.
I am angry about how the 'idea' of a God still divides people, still is cause for war and hatred, and still inspires people to harm one and other in the name of whatever religion, still is used to spark fear in children (and adults!), still dictates on how to live our lives... an idea that is so primitive that it's actually hilarious that it is still around anno 2022.

I get that people need something to hang on to, something that gives them hope and comfort, especially the hope for some kind of afterlife because the idea of permanent death is maybe the most frightening of all... So for all the believers out there, can simply 'believing' not be enough?

Even as an atheist I still hope for something more for our souls after this life, I don't want to believe that death is the end and sometimes I can even 'feel' that it is not. My guess is on simulation theory, no Deities in the sky involved. Seems more plausible to me... but I never hated someone for telling me it isn't true, I never started a war over it, never used it to frighten my children with...

The Roman Catholic Church started wars that have nothing to do with Christ.

Jesus didn't say kill and torture those that don't agree with you. In fact, when he told the rich man to sale everything and follow him, the rich man walked away. Jesus didn't say grab him or strike him dowm.

Christians were actually persecuted by Romans because they didn't fight back and Romans talked about this. Here's a letter from Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan.

It is my practice, my lord, to refer to you all matters concerning which I am in doubt. For who can better give guidance to my hesitation or inform my ignorance? I have never participated in trials of Christians. I therefore do not know what offenses it is the practice to punish or investigate, and to what extent. And I have been not a little hesitant as to whether there should be any distinction on account of age or no difference between the very young and the more mature; whether pardon is to be granted for repentance, or, if a man has once been a Christian, it does him no good to have ceased to be one; whether the name itself, even without offenses, or only the offenses associated with the name are to be punished.

Christians were killed and burned alive and as you can see by Pliny's letter, they did nothing. He said:

So any wars around Christianity were Roman Catholics being Roman not Christians.

The Church is the most evil organization that has walked this planet, Witch trials ,Joan of ark was burnt , Nights Templar any crusade and the fleecing of anyone brainwashed by them just to name a few .

Do you believe that there is only one God and countless religions out there that actually speak off the same God? Even the extreme ones?
They how can you deny that people kill each other in the name of this God?
It is not the God itself that does the killing, but those who belief it is justified to do so in his name.
In that sense it is because of their belief in God, and they all do believe that their system is the right one and their laws are the just ones, that there is killing and hatred going on.
Same as how you believe that every letter is the bible is truth, others believe that other books have more truth. I believe that no book has truth.

I wasn't born in a different land. The Bible says:

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Ephesians 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

So again, I wasn't born in a different land. I was predestinated to be born here and to follow His Purpose.

After reading through the responses in this thread it appears your OP is absolutely correct.

I prefer to get my religious information directly from God. Not some spiritually arrogant, human pretending to know the mind of God thru a book written by men who wanted control, not salvation.

The Most High God was, is, and always will be the same. Many have known God without the Bible... just look at Moses and Abraham as examples. There are others throughout the world and throughout time who have connected with the Most High God without even being literate. The Bible is supplemental material for what is already written within us.

These threads are not for god, they are for the OPs who want to feel they are part of something. Like you plainly stated god can touch anyone if and when he wants to.
