Sure.. the US will do that when Russia takes that advice. Since I dont see that as likely, here we are.

My point of my response, btw, was to point out the Soviet Union / Russia are not angels (and neither is the US). Those were not the only 2 countries who did those things.

We are seeing a culmination of back and forth F'ery over a puppet state.

West Ukraine, US interests. East, Russian. Kyiv, former soviet seat and epicenter of the corruption.

You said Putin is desperate, and id agree. However long game, russia can afford to be patient but putin may not. Yet another complication.

As ive stated, there is no justification for the invasion.
My hope is that folks see the clear line to WMDs especially when it defaults to the govt narrative.

No we are seeing Russia lie in order to invade Ukraine - respectfully.

There are no WMD's in Ukraine. However, with the Russian invasion Ukraine has commented about returning to nuclear weapons.

Ukraine has also proved another point. Ukraine is quite capable of defending itself against Russia. It is still their right to determine their own affairs and affiliations though. If anything Russia has once again pushed countries towards NATO because Putin is stuck in the 1980's.

Dont joke Ukraine was the backbone of the Soviet Union Most of their tech came from there. That's why even still today they produce rockets and jet engines. It's not beyond their capabilities to make a nuke and launch system. This is why Russia played the wrong card here they are creating an enemy that in the long run could be very dangerous.

The Link isn't BS....the rhetoric is, the framing is, the propensity to want to further the cause of an autocrat is.

All the "the invasion was unjustified but"'s doesn't absolve anyone from doing exactly the above. One either denounces totalitarianism tyrannical rule, or they do not.
