Somebody keeps bringing up that this thread is one sided, supporting Ukraine only.
I thought, we should hear the other part of Russian population, then. Those that support Putin's cause. Not all of them are oppressed. Not all of them want to be saved.

By this time Russian people had to hear what is going on in Ukraine. And had to check with themselves whether is right or wrong to bloody bomb civilians and kids' hospitals. These people made their beds, I guess.

To be honest, hearing these, I am torn between ''propaganda is such a powerful weapon'' and ''corrupt societies like these usually reward people with brute mentality.''

I hope all these people are going to hell, btw.

The opinions, for or against, the invasion of a sovereign country have nothing to do with this. No one is claiming the Russian people want this or don't want this (although there appears to be a great number who don't!). The STORY here is the invasion of a sovereign nation, not the number of thumbs up or thumbs down tallying in the Russian populace. I hope they are wrong,but a few sites are saying things like:

Might have something to do with russia bragging about how it just destroyed one of those secret U.S. bio weapon labs today.

Russia admits conscripts have been fighting in Ukraine, despite Putin's previous denials

Russia's Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Russian military conscripts have been involved in the invasion of Ukraine and that some were taken prisoner by Ukrainian forces, just a day after President Vladimir Putin insisted conscripts were not part of the assault.

The ministry admitted that conscripts were "discovered" in Ukraine but claimed they have already been withdrawn and returned to Russia.

"Unfortunately, several facts of the presence of conscripts in the units of the Russian armed forces involved in the conduct of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine were discovered," defense ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said in a video message.

A day earlier, in an International Women's Day address, Putin had reassured soldiers' mothers and wives that Russian conscripts are not taking part in his invasion of Ukraine, which he has referred to as a "special military operation."
