Been talking to someone about this. Because in the U.S. the Generals aren't usually in combat zones. Some key points:

1. Intelligence is apparently being had!

2. When you have a fighting force of about 50% conscripts and the rest drunks, if your Generals don't go toward the front, the front doesn't move much. (this one is more of a jab than a fact, but I still like it)

3. Russian troops don't have the ability to act independently when needed, so a General has to tell them before they do.

4. This is the biggest thing. Putler mandated that no military troops could use foreign-made cell phones because that would be a weak link, so he had this whole Russia-military only comm system set up and the troops (only those in a position to comm) use these Russian-specific "secure comm" phones. So there may be the possibility that these Putler (by the way I'm only calling him Putler from now on) phones may not be working in the kill zone.

russia supporters here still think we're propagandizing russia.

How do we convince ATS folks that never believe anyone about anything (this a great attribute, not an insult), that there really ISN'T any good news for russia anywhere?

We aren't hiding it, it just doesn't exist

Thank you! I bet you are right. It would be ultra-insanity to have the head General tromping around a thawing Ukrainian pasture.

Could the Russia secure comms be being jammed maybe?
If not by Ukraine on the ground-maybe by some black ops drone/sattelitte tech?

So, in short, it isn't beyond the realm of possibility that France, the UK or the U.S. deploy nuclear weapons in a first strike role.

I've read some sheeeite since this started but your post takes the biscuit.
Have you not been taking any notice of what is happening?

There is only one person threatening to use nuclear weapons. It isn't France, the UK or the U.S.

Or have you got a source that shows otherwise?

Actions speak louder than words. A nation doesn’t need to verbally threaten to use nuclear force, it’s actions can be taken so.

1962, Russia moves missiles to Cuba in retaliation to USA moving missiles nearby to Russia. And what was USA’s response?

Get the picture? But you carry on blaming Putin for everything.

Just can’t trust the mainstream media run by the Western cabal and conglomerates.

Too much propaganda from all sides - some reports would have you believe Ukrainian forces have decimated Russian forces, destroyed significant tanks, aircraft, helicopters. 10,000 russians dead and only a few hundred Ukranians lost... just like King Leonidas and his army of 300.

While the same media outlets say, Ukraine is desperately appealing worldwide for troops to enlist in their “new” foreign legion unit seperate to their “territorial army” unit. Making direct calls to Algeria and Senegal who have turned around and said “Err no, stop recruiting our people”.

And then apparently Ukranian Airforce is still operational, the “Ghost of Kiev” has downed 10 russian jets all by himself... meanwhile various media reports show Ukraine desperately calling on NATO to supply them with Jets.

USA pressuring Poland to send over their MIGs.

Just way too much propaganda, makes your head spin. Not to mention the outright lies from “reputable” news sources reporting “SHOCKING - Russian IFV crushes civilian vehicle, driver miraculously survives” when it turns out to be a Ukranian IFV with no visible Russian markings. But it got its effect... no fact checking just sowing more and more hateful sentiment towards Russia and Putin.

What happened to just... reporting the news? Maybe some fact checking?

Why is that so hard? Why must there be biased agenda driven news reporting and full on propaganda. Keep it honest. P
Watch a few Putin interviews, he speaks plainly, clearly, eloquently. To all the die hard, well-renknowned Western journalists from CBS Fox News CNN.

And you can fact check everything Putin says. Just use trusty Google... because he explained all the events leading up to Ukraine... most people were just too blind to see it coming because of course again ... mainstream media keeping the “well-informed” readers out of the loop.

This is what has been explained to me. This is not my area of expertise, so critique at will.

The UKR blocked Russian sims, and the Russians in their ignorance destroyed all the 3g/4g towers in Ukraine. Encryption requires digital processing, and 2G is analog. So the Russians have no way to secure their communications.

There are frequencies you can listen to to hear the Russians. (yes, they get interrupted with playing the Ukrainian national anthem) And there are times they literally give coordinates on locations. There is a Discord channel that has several Ukrainian and Russian translators monitoring several frequencies and translating those.

Their asses are hanging out in the wind.

So I went ahead and watched some interviews with the evil man “who should not be named” . I know I was supposed to take Fox news word for it and just you know, not bother looking into this “evil” russian dictator... but just for fun I listened to the guy.

Putin - ‘In 2002 America pulled out of the Antiballistic Missile Treaty with Russia”

Did they? Hmm USA federal websites concurr. Okay so what is the sigficiance of this? Well apparently it was a treaty signed in 1972 between soviet union (Russia honoring the treaty following the collapse of the USSR) and USA in a bid to foster peace and ease tensions between both nuclear superpowers by limiting anballistic missile deployments on both sides. So as not to escalate things like ten years prior in 1962.

Okay so USA left, not Russia... what else Putin?

Putin “In 2011 USA deployed antiballistic missiles to Romania and Poland, barely 75 miles from Russian border.” “ It is known that these launchers can be used with Tomahawk Missiles”

Okay, after some diggin I found this to be true. With a Tomahawk Missile able to be nuclear armed, its a possibility... though due USA “policy descisions” they aren’t armed with nuclear payloads. But can carry the W-80 warhead.

Right then, so I say to myself, hey George - what if Russia deployed their “antiballistic” missiles to say Mexico? Or maybe even Cuba again! I mean we saw how USA responded in 1962.... when russian missiles were 90 miles from USA border....didn’t USA learn a lesson?

Nation by nation, Russia watches as USA + NATO assimilated Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Montenegro all during the same time period as the missile deployments.

But it seems we now live in a world where these facts just don’t make it into Fox news, or some people maybe aware but so over idealistic as to say “so what?” Russia needs to “get over it” any nation can join NATO. Anyone can deploy missiles on Russians border. “Deal with it pal”

Yeah thats really being mature and keeping the peace ay?

Because thats how ALL us everyday adults deal with serious threats in our neighbourhoods. This is the approach to “not” escalating tensions... I mean Russia is a nuclear superpower... you’d think you would want to give them just a teeny bit more space guys... maybe not deploy missiles on their back garden.

Just saying

Independent sovereign nations can choose their own path, friends and allies. Since almost all of E. Europe was occupied territory by Russia throughout the cold war, when they got out from under the Soviets / Russian thumb they had no desire to go back, neither willingly nor unwillingly. So those countries applied for NATO membership and were approved. NATO can NOT assimilate countries (may I suggest you learn how NATO processes work).

Maybe Russia should not occupy, annex or invade sovereign nations. Putin has been one of the greatest ad campaigns on why countries should think about joining NATO. For all of the cold war and then some Sweden and Finland were neutral. With Putin throwing temper tantrums he has successfully pushed Finland and Sweden into NATO.

Nuclear weapons do not make a country a superpower. How do we know this - Israel, Pakistan, India, N. Korea, Russia, china, France, United Kingdom...

Putin, even though he likes to blame everything on others (and his made up history that you could find in science fiction novels), has no one else to blame but himself.

and if we learned one thing from Russia's invasion of Ukraine it is this -

Russia is not a superpower

... just saying
