Hmmmm. How real do you think that is? I mean if accurate, it would cast some serious aspersion on Putin's authority via Lukashenko.

If true, would be mind shattering to me.

Saw a report claiming Kazakhstan was sending troops to fight in Ukraine for Putin on the sly.

If true, there may be Kazakhs taken prisoner before long.

Cheers

Well, he definitely tweeted it.

twitter.com...

So the question becomes is he lying? I would think he would have more to lose by lying...

"Franak Viačorka is a nonresident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, a journalist from Belarus, and an advisor to Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. "

Maybe not, he's working for the opposition, so this could be an attempt to turn populace away from monkey boy.

Uh, the 40 mile convoy that's stove up north of Kiev came out of Belarus after a couple of weeks of "joint drills" with Belarus. This is a multi-front invasion.

Very correct. But are they Belarusian troops?

The guy running Belarus sold his hide to Putin for help dealing with the aftermath of his last 'election'. That gave Putin the leverage to put Russian troops in place there. In hindsight, it looks like the Russians thought the airborne assault might seize Kiev and be backed up a "blitz from Belarus".

In the north at least, looking more like positional warfare now.

Cheers

Possible attack on second Nuclear facility in Kharkiv:

Russian forces have fired rockets at a physics institute in Kharkiv which contains nuclear material and a reactor, Ukraine's national security service has claimed.

www.msn.com... Aq

According to the report, grad rockets are being fired at the building housng the reactor.

This is happening AFTER Putin has had a meeting with the IAEA,about not targeting nuclear facilities.

Those russians sure are some of the nicest and most honest folks on the planet.

I sure am glad they have so many relentless supporters here.

Otherwise russia may not have had such a great opportunity to attack those nuke plants.

And who wants to live in a world where nobody attacks nuke plants?

Yeah whatever the politics behind this its still a disgusting way to be treating civilian packed cities.
Putin is all in-the only way out for him is if he wins-or dies.

What will he do if he thinks he cannot win?
We all know the probable answer..

Another potential route for escalation is emerging-

Russia on Sunday warned countries neighboring Ukraine against providing military airfields for Ukrainian combat aircraft.
Speaking at a daily press briefing in Moscow, Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Russia is aware of Ukrainian combat aviation trips to Romania and some other neighboring countries.
He said if any country provides airfields for Ukraine's military aviation with subsequent use against the Russian armed forces it "may be regarded as the involvement of these states in an armed conflict."

www.aa.com.tr...

That may mean Romania and Poland could get dragged into war as both are hosting/sending fighter kets to aid Ukraine.

I believe the so-called '40 mile long Russian convoy', is actually (stretched bumper to bumper) 4 miles long.

He wants conflict with U.S. soooo bad. China's got his back. India will roll over for him. North Korea will jump in just to have someone to talk to. He plans to annihilate us. He knows Biden will not push the button, so it will be the end of us. This is not a stand-off. This is a trap.

It just goes to show the folly of having land based, fission powered nuclear plants in a war zone; based on the risks of having radioactive core meltdowns.

Fusion power plants in those type of scenario's are okay with me. But fission power plants? --- Nope, nada...unh-unh --- No way Jose.

That does appear to be putin's thought process.

He should really think about hiring some professional analysts and strategists.

His are REALLY bad at it.

Agreed.

I don't believe in attacking neighbors.

I don't believe in attacking peaceful nuke plants.

And we ALL need safer energy production infrastructure to prevent russia from attacking peaceful nuke plants in peaceful countries again.

Nothing good is going to result from this war. Putin, is pretty much setting it up to declare war on nato if he wants to via, reason, sanctions, providing arms to Ukraine, and or neighbors providing air fields. Whoever does not notice this has their head in the dirt. Economically this war is gonna effect everyone. Economically alone will probably push this war onto a grander scale. Hopefully things settle, but russia, has lost its mind, and is looking to fight.
