The USA headlines are trying to vilify (sp) Putin , Putin has turned himself into a protector not a Invader . The propaganda from the USA is crazy - Biden's not going to war with Russia just what is the point of all the posturing ?

These politicians are only putting themselves in a corner against the wall . Such a weak Biden Admin the World powers will take advantage just like a pack dog will rise in rank when a leader gets sick .

Supporting a countries leader that has nuclear missiles pointed at the US, is treason.

But, he's a psychopathic former KGB man who rules with an iron fist and he is playing chess with an awful lot of lives, not to mention the survival of a sovereign State.

This is no game.

It's real.

To answer both you & OldFish before you, we need to shut the # up, and stay out of it.

Not our horse, not our rodeo. The US needs to get bent, and learn to leave other countries' # to them. The goddamn amount of snearing side-eyeing we keep getting from the Ukranian president alone says that.

Yeah, the same "International Law" that has failed to reign in bad actors like China, North Korea, Russia, Venezuela and how many others?

Turns out "rule of law" is a discredited theory. First, humans are not capable of the fairness required for law to work. Second, what you're seeing here is a true to life example of the Law of Strength overcoming the laws of man. Seems armies of rough & tough gun toting killers are indeed stronger than armies of lawyers. Good lesson to take away from this: "the more powerful/dangerous you are, the less you'll have to answer to anybody else."

Isn't there actually a phrase to describe this? In case of war the law falls silent?

Americans used to understand this. Americans used to be dangerous by default.

The USA has been at war with someone as long as I can remember "For our safety" We have gained no new territory or even assets hell we just walk out and say ok we are done blowing your sand up . Even the British back in the day took territories just to give them back left Hong Kong hanging along with many others .

Putin is at least taking and keeping territory In my eyes that is some kind of justification for all the death .

For that matter I cant for the life of me understand why Mexico isn't USA along with most of South America .

What do you call, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Russia is not our friend!

There are Russian spies in the US as we speak, looking for vulnerabilities. trump and his bromance with Putin gave it to them.

Indeed. We are far past time to reinstitute the practical side of Manifest Destiny.

We didn't win WW2 and the cold war just to let somebody pass us up again. The inept leadership class has been asleep at the wheel for at least a half century!

And although I do not envy their position, it is not our problem to sort out militarily. We have too many problems here to even be capable of solving Ukraine's issues

Why do we think so black and white? Putin is all bad and Biden is all bad.

Why cant they be human beings who sometimes do bad and sometimes do good.

Is anything or anyone you know all bad or all good?

Are you all bad or all good?

It is the usual suspects mostly, the "Russia-this, Russia-that" types

They need this stuff to be true. Putin has to be a comic book villain. Trump has to be an evil racist corrupt criminal businessman consorting with the dastardly Putin to undermine Democracy. They are always look for a new straw to grasp, a new false hope to cling to.

Because otherwise, they'd have to admit to themselves that they are not in fact virtuous at all. That their concept of Good/Bad has been completely overwritten by party doctrine, and that they are in fact bitter, angry, small people. Being unwilling to do even a tiny bit of introspection, we will continue to see democrats foaming at the mouth every time Russia's President passes gas. It will be the same people insisting that Trump's indictment/perp walk is just around the corner. The same ones who still look the other way when 2014 Obama/Biden/Nuland's actions in Ukraine are brought up. The type of meddling that started this whole fiasco in the first place.

The 2014 coup is the precise reasons Republicans aren't jumping on the anti-Russia bandwagon. Obama/Biden started this mess, and we aren't going to help them clean it up. This is their failure, wrote large.

Some of these people are starting to figure out that they are the ones with a problem. Why do you think MSNBC's viewership is eclipsed by Joe Rogan and CNN is in a death spiral?

Only sanctions are on the table.

Not military options.

That would only be on the table if a NATO country is attacked.

And there are US spies in Russia doing the same.

It is common day to day intelligence activity and has been going on for at least 100 years. There’s also Chinese spies, Cuban spies and god knows who else.

Spies are as old as warfare itself. And humans have been killing one another in an organized fashion since the beginning of our species.
