Somewhere back in the mists of the thread I posted a family history of how my ma, at the age of 8, had to walk 50 miles with her grandma from Croatia, to get back to her parents in Trieste, as the Iron Curtain came down at the end of WWII.

I thought I'd pass on that, this week, when seeing the news videos of Ukrainians fleeing to cross the border, she was traumatised by flashbacks to her own similar childhood journey.

In her words:
"I haven't been able to stop thinking about the terror of that journey when I was 8, since seeing the ukrainian footage!"


Worth bearing in mind the PTSD these poor Ukrainian kids are currently experiencing is also likely to last them into their senior years.

Unfortunately cavv, I feel that a lot of what happens over the coming months will leave similar engrained pain on our children's psyches.

Equally though, it may well be that passing down of the impact, to future generations, that stops us returning back to the same mistakes.

The difference is [23] = PAIN

3) Mar 1st Plus 14 days = Mar 15th = IDES of MARCH, when Julius Caesar was stabbed in the back by his friend BRUTUS and other senators!
