It wasn't about the vaccine mandate.

Correct.

When asked by CBS News if there was any chance the disruption could have been caused by pilots calling out sick over the company's vaccine mandate, Capt. Casey Murray, president of the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, said that was not the case and that the airline's pilot sick rate for this weekend was "right in line with what was occurring this summer."

...I point to how they manage the network and how their I.T. also supports that network. Once a little hiccup occurs due to the internal processes, our pilots aren't getting to where they need to be. We've been sounding this alarm for about four years and have seen very little approach to correcting it," Murray said.

Hmmm.....
Cbs news eh?

Yes it is.

I've been on the phone for 6 days with some of the pilots I know from SWA.

These mandates are what's causing this.

Thanks for the info!
It is appreciated.

The pilot's union says otherwise and based on how the other airlines haven't had any issues I tend to agree with what he said.

Sorry but I just don't have time for your low information BS.

I have actual sources on the inside. Let me know when you do.

Until then what you say here is totally irrelevant.

If we're playing the appeal to authority game I think the union president trumps your anonymous sources and the fact that the cancellations have decreased since the weekend support what he's saying.

When SWA is pretty much back to normal, or as normal as a poorly run budget airline gets, by this weekend we'll see what turns out to be correct.

86 cancellations isn't exactly a revolt. Their operations are back to normal, or what constitutes normal for them.

Crews got called in to cover the call-outs according to my sources.

Now Amtrak trains are starting to get cancelled too. Guess the train union boss will be out soon to tell everyone it's just the weather.

I posted this earlier, it's because the airline didn't collectively bargain some of the changes they made since last year. The SWAPA president said this a couple of days ago and it's in the article.
