So many things have a scripted feel, going back pretty far, since Bush's funeral. The most fair comparison would be to say that it's more shocking that Biden actually is PotUS, than the shock of a bigger plan that takes over, or took over already.

I still don't know what to think... but Thomas Wictor finally divulged what he thinks happened/is happening and how/why Trump is still in charge, based on, of all things a recent Newsweek article that he says gets it right, without meaning to...

I was about to mention that. Yes, interesting thread. The opening:

The second story is that that's STILL not a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) over Mar-a-Lago.

I watched some "special ops" types say that this is worrying.

No.

It's HEARTENING.

It means that Trump isn't living at Mar-a-Lago. He's figured out a way to leave the place unnoticed.

And he's staying somewhere with permanent flight restrictions.

THAT MEANS THIS ISN'T OVER.

And it means that people CAN keep secrets.

Cheers

Lol yeah….that’s how it is in eastern WA, Idaho and Wyoming. Probably 3 of the most sparsely populated and developed areas of the country. Hardly indicative of the rest of the country.

Ok sorry...only large parts of america are third world #holes...I guess if the other parts are first world does it balance.out to second world?

a reply to: PokeyJoe

Seems pretty dismissive of the people living there. Are they not part of America also? That is part of america right? Like the people living there in those conditions are in fact american?

No no, those people don't count, they're in flyover country right?

dug, I think if you start a thread on it, you'll get plenty of responses from Americans who live in various parts of the country.

None of what you are asking is cut and dried.

I dunno man, this was like every town we stopped at between eastern Washington, all the way through Idaho except cour d'alene, montana, and Wyoming and there was nothing else on the maps.

Sounds like much of northern canada. Or prairie canada. As a kid in fort nelson, bc, I had to be flown to edmonton for an eye doctor's appointment. Much of rural north america is like a third world country, especially without power.

Pokey Joe, really feel for you dealing with all this and little kids to think of as well. Having just moved can mean not quite being settled, prepared or have support of others. Good you can check in here and let everyone know how you are.

I've had plenty of conversations with americans about this over the hears. I'm aware america is a large and varied place. I've found a lot of Americans don't like acknowledging that there are vast swathes of their country that resemble a third world country more than some actual third world countries.

The people there are ignored by the media and just about everyone. It's always comments like,

'No look how great the cities are,.see America's awesome.'

It's the disparity between the poorest areas of the country and the richest areas that make it this way. When you've got people living in mansions in gated communities in one part of the country and people living in shacks without electricity in another part, what else would you call it?

Watch White House covid advisor Andy Slavitt squirm when asked why California and Florida have nearly identical pandemic stats -

Twitter

He uses both "Tells" in this. "Look" = I'm about to lie. "What we do know" = I"m about to lie.

Not one, but two "Tells" in one sentence.

Anytime the teeeveee head starts with "looK" everything that follows will be a lie.

More unedited footage from John Sullivan and Jade Hackler.

What is interesting is house managers showed edited edited versions of the footage.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate, correct, to tell him, her, it,
"Go back to hell, where you came from!" Details are sometimes important..
