LEGAL PROCESS -- reason DOJ is concerned,
The U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday expressed concerns that a controversial audit and recount of the November election in Arizona's Maricopa County may be out of compliance with federal laws.
Pamela Karlan, the principal deputy assistant attorney general with the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, wrote in a letter that federal officials see two issues with the election review ordered by the Republican-led state Senate.
One issue is that ballots, voting systems and other election materials are no longer in the custody of election officials — a possible violation of federal law, which requires state and local election workers to store and safeguard federal voting records.

The feds have no business in state laws or state business.
Tho the scotus would be happy to put the feds back in their place in a clear states rights issue once again.
Interesting again who is ascared of the sunshine.

Fact... because it is possible... but -- obviously -- arguable.
First, the Feds would have to establish Constitutional supremacy over each State's legislative bodies to set policy and procedure for elections..

It will be interesting to see if the Biden DOJ suddenly become "nimble" and is able to throw monkey wrenches into forensic audit before its completion. I'm sure the Dept of Justice would also like to simultaneously thwart any similar audit from occurring in PA-GA-MI-WI as well.
The regular messages from former President Trump on this audit are no doubt increasing the desire of the DOJ to intervene.

I wonder why the doj didn't "investigate " the actions of the executive branch in Pa?
You know, as the legislative branch is the only one allowed to change state law?
Perhaps we will get some sunshine there as well?
