I hope they are well and they look after themselves....and others.

I also have friends in London and other areas affected by the new Tier 4 restrictions.
Some of them have been quite responsible, others not so.

Pointing fingers is a pretty pointless exercise and achieves little.
But its an understandable reaction.

Knowing that you might have this new strain and then abandoning your home etc and running to the hills infecting god only knows who is the act of ultimate irresponsibility.

I can't imagine these people being welcomed in the communities they've ran to.

The main difference is that it's novel to the human immune system, having just jumped from a different species. The common cold (like the flu) can be deadly to isolated tribal people who have evolved no immunity to it.

For the same reason, wild gorillas and chimpanzees are protected from tourists with colds.

Why? I'm not sure.
But they certainly haven't orchestrated the whole outbreak in some sort of nefarious plot to take over the world as some would have us believe.

These self-same people need the economy moving, be it to maintain the status quo, to install the NWO or further the globalist agenda.
All of those would still require people more or less going about their business as usual.
Screwing up the world economy furthers no-one's interests.

We are supposed to believe that an elite group of people who literally have every luxury one can imagine, have so much wealth, power and influence that they can dictate to governments and control world politics and events wish to inflict some sort of economic Year Zero on the world so that they can gain control of a world they already allegedly control.

Why?

And whatever the endgame is supposed to be it relies on ordinary people going about their business with their noses to the grindstone.

Perhaps people find it comforting to think this is all part of some grand, meticulously orchestrated plan, but theories about 'who' and 'why' seem vague and confused at best.

Isn't it more reasonable to think that in an increasingly overpopulated planet, where humans rub ever closer to what's left of the natural world, occasionally a virus will spontaneously jump the species barrier? That, after all, is what they've been doing since life began.

What follows seems depressingly predictable. Democratic governments, by definition, like to be poplular. Unless they are also strong, clear-sighted and well informed, they will be ill-equipped to manage a pandemic. Largely this is what we see - completely inadequate short-term, reactivate responses.

The temptation was to hope, as Trump put it, "as the weather starts to warm and the virus hopefully becomes weaker, and then gone."

Had this virus been more lethal, I suspect governments would have handled it better. Most that have handled it well had already encountered the more deadly SARS 1. They based their policies not on hope but possible worst case scenarios.
