Benefit from a strong economy??

You have really lost it...they are destroying the economy.

That was rather my point?

How would that benefit them?

The end game is shifting from capitalism to a technocratic resource based economy.
Seriously Richard Hall explains it thoroughly in these presentations, in particular watch part 4 and part 5 to see where it’s all going.

Any chance of some sort of summary?
I'm not really in the habit of clicking on random links without any sort of idea of the content.

If it piques my curiosity I might give it a watch.

Now I have a couple of questions for you, first you have said you know personally several people that have died with this virus. Is it from or with it? Because there is a big difference, did these people have underlying conditions that you know of?

A couple of them had other health issues, one didn't.

Nobody died of AIDS....were they wrong to take precautions to prevent the spread of it?

What I struggle with is......

What I struggle with is people not understanding the reasoning behind the measures put in place and assuming they know better.

My daughter is a theatre nurse.
She has been redeployed and is currently working on Covid-19 wards.
She has told me that every available bed has a Covid-19 patient in it.

It's irrelevant if they have a pre-existing health issue, the fact is that this virus is more infectious than other viruses and it can be incredibly debilitating.
More people catch it.
More people develop serious health issues.
More people die.
More of a strain on the health service.

It really isn't hard to understand.

the media telling us that there are asymtomatic super spreaders on one hand and others with “long covid” on the other people suffering all kinds of long term health conditions after contracting the virus. What kind of virus does this? The juxtaposition I just can’t get my head around. I’d say these long covid people have auto immune disorders like M.E and these asymtomatic people don’t actually have any virus. The tests have proven to be faulty.

What medical/scientific qualifications do you have?

Watch the vids in the link I provided and having heard an alternative side of the story from the MSM then make your mind up.

I refer the honourable Gentleman to the answer I gave earlier.

Until then you can’t really have an informed opinion......

So, anyone who hasn't watched the video's is ill informed and not deserving of your time or capable of having a reasoned debate with you?

ETA.

No need for me being quite so arsey.

Quite. It is indeed considered only good manners that if you post a link to lengthy vids on here that one should at least post a summary before expecting other posters to invest their valued time in watching them. Even more so if you are then going to ridicule their opinions if they can't be arsed to watch them.

I did look at them and the T&C's on this site prevent me from proferring my full and frank opinion of them.

Anyway, at the end of what has been a rather crap year, may I offer Season's Greetings to one and all? And a very Happy New Year.

Except for some on here. You know who you are.

It's no surprise if the number of deaths caused by disruption to cancer and other medical services exceeds those caused by covid. The NHS was at breaking point this time last year, before the onslaught of the virus. Some hospitals are currently cancelling operations as they concentrate their resources on saving covid patients. Many hospital staff are also off either sick with it or isolating because someone in their household has symptoms.

At this stage it's difficult to see what, short of another national lockdown, will prevent many more premature deaths from the virus or its knock-on effects.

It didn't have to be this way.

Aye its our nation that's in a state.

You do realise the USA has been circling the lavvy pan for quite sometime.

Who's a baw hair away from martial law and cannot accept democracy in action?

That would be near enough 70+ million of your people me thinks.

Lets just see if you manage to make 2030 without tearing yourself apart, or worse, before slagging off other nations.

HOWEVER, I would ask..what is more relevant is has the new strain mutated to be more, or less deadly? Something your daughter isn't qualified to answer.

You also said:
"Nobody died of AIDS....were they wrong to take precautions to prevent the spread of it?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As someone who has worked within AIDS/HIV and Palliative care units for many years, I wonder what you mean by that statement. Can you clarify for us all?

By all accounts this new strain is not 'deadlier', its just more infectious and as a result more people will catch the virus.
More people catch it, more people die - pretty straight forward really.
I don't think one needs to be a viral expert to work that out, do you?

I thought I was pretty clear about HIV/AIDS.
People don't actually die of the virus, they die of illnesses they get as a result of the virus severely weakening the immunity system.
At least that's my understanding of it.

Perhaps you could correct me if I'm wrong.

Well maybe you meant to say that nobody dies of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)???

AIDS,(acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) develops when the virus takes over. The destroyed immune system then succumbs to disease.

With regard to the latest mutation of the CoV. I have yet to hear ANYONE in authority say that it has become more virulent. I suspect it may become less virulent.

However, the Virus is being politicised and used as a tool of fear.

Take that to the bank.
