That is exactly what I’m saying. We now have evidence of what works and what doesn’t, time to face reality.

To Ketsuko above and you...it's always been that simple.

It is that simple. If lock downs and masks really worked, we wouldn't be back looking at more would we? The first ones would have been good enough. In most places, the orders extended for more than a month.

Certainly the type of lock down they want is like what most of Europe did because they "did it right", but Europe is having to lock down again because, as it happens, they did not "do it right" by locking everyone down. They still have the virus and it's going to do what viruses do -- work its way through the population.

All we're doing is prolonging the agony.

Don't bother, the fallback excuse is still "flattening curves" because "flattening works for the hospitals". Supporters conveniently quit barking the "and it helps us beat it faster" load of BS. The goalpost moving has been quiet, but they've kept up on it.

You oversimplify, as more than enough people didn't think a mask or rules was applicable to them, and wouldn't wear one. I see about 20% giving the finger to everyone else. Y'all assume that you have this all figured out, I assume, no one has this figured out.

But she's NOT oversimplifying. Italy locked down bigger than all holy #, and are still right back to square one, despite thinking they had the best ideas to beat it back. Best example out there right now to prove her point -- everything they did STILL FAILED.

We obviously cannot deflect it or hide from it. The first countries to think we could, are getting that mentality handed back on a platter.

The United States Of America is a Democratic Republic , and in being so , it is Far and Above those " Poor Souls " in Europe and other Countries Around the World who's Personal Freedoms are ALWAYS in Question . It sincerely Bothers me that Some of my Fellow Citizens here in the United States can be So Unaware of the Economic and Political Power they Hold due to their Fortunate Circumstances in being an American . .............

Sorry , just Another WTF Moment in Time for me Personally . This To Shall Pass.........

Yeah...and I'm not even talking lockdown...or any mandatory anything.

My points been, 35 years I've been 1st Responder...just mask, gloves...stay away from crowds coughing etc...

See? It's been the same for us everyday...just precautions.

Take them, folks! Thanks K, pleasant Eve to ya!😷😁👍

well now I agree the cat is out of the bag and no lock downs will stop it at this point .
One there is NO such thing as a True lock down . Food stores processing are a Must have trucking and a Million other things that just cant be locked down .

If we had been Japan we would have done it right from the FIRST person then it would have been possible as even Now Japan has a very small number just like NZ and SK a few other country's who did Not even question it just started doing full bore mask quartans and tracing .

Now you mite notice JAPAN is NOT commie or socialist Nore IN SK nore is NZ and even AS did good the thing they all have in common is they did Not even waste a week .

Now its just to bad all we have here in the US is a Bunch of [people whos ONLy care is Big business and getting reelected .
O yes I am talking about them all INCLUDING Trump .

So here we are stuck In this of OUR OWN making china well blaming them for being the first solves NOTHING it coudl have been the US or any country .

So the question now is what do we do next ?

Being OPEN at 25 % isnt BEING OPEN at all as more and more go out of business .

Even just doing away with all RESTRICTIONS wont bring back what little we had .

The problem with Trump is there is no plan saying lock downs wont work when WE ARE ALREADY 75 % locked down is pointless .

Funny, but as much as I hate wearing it, I do, and so does everyone else where I am at. Except almost everyone I see wears theirs under their freaking nose.

Half the people who wear them do it wrong anyhow and always have, but they're quick to make sure that everyone else has one on! LOL

Gov. Noem does not intend to enforce any Biden mandates. South Dakota intends to do what it has done - provide the information and let the citizens make up their own minds.

Good to hear, well, as good as it gets I suppose, no one likes this.

Around here, about 20% not wearing in the stores, and unfortunately, it's a certain demographic, but dare anyone say it, be labeled a racist. I do see the mask below the nose thing..I just shake my head.

Same here... 340 cases with only 6 deaths over a vast area, with a few sizable cities yet we are facing more and more extreme restrictions. I was on board with flatten the curve concept but that was 9 months ago.

The island is doing good, on the mainland we are having record #s, 500+ a day!..which in themselves didn't bother me. But I talked the other day with a registered nurse. She said that it is getting out of hand, I think a few hundred in beds and 50+ in ICU. She says, wear the bloody mask, and keep your distance.
