This is precisely why I posted a few pages back that I'm not sure even a Supreme Court decision affirming that President Trump has been re-elected will end the election confrontation.

The coup has become a war.

Such things are rarely ended by one side unilaterally announcing that a court has ruled in their favor.

For violence to be avoided, Trump Team needs Biden, as the figure-head of the opposition, to publicly surrender with an implication of admitting guilt.

In this era when dogma over-rides facts, to simply arrest people will only serve to make them martyrs in eyes of the unseeing.

For the Country as a whole to "win" in unity, it is not enough to overcome the opposition by preponderance of force (law), they have to be neutralized as a motivational factor for the public (win hearts and minds).

Exactly. This is my problem, mine. The Constitution doesn't give me rights, the Declaration of Independence simply codifies that we HUMANS have an inherent nature. Cuomo's religious lockdown of worship is the very definition of what the document is meant to prevent. If I want to see if praying keeps me from getting The Rona then that's on me.

The only ruling on that case should have been: This is not a commerce issue, SC rules on issues of commerce. But, in order to prevent further issues, folks can gather as long as the state does NOT infringe on the right to gather OR the right to avoid gather - commerce related or not. The purpose for the gathering is irrelevant, as for one a church another a bar.
