Preprint article with metadata analysis (in plain English, they're going to present the paper for publication and they're analyzing data that's been reported by health departments)

Risk of death in COVID-19 for people under age 65

(actual title is "Population-level COVID-19 mortality risk for non-elderly individuals overall and for non-elderly individuals without underlying diseases in pandemic epicenters")

The conclusion (because most of you don't want to read through the eye-watering jargon) "People less than 65 years old have very small risks of COVID-19 death even in the hotbeds of the pandemic and deaths for people less than 65 years without underlying predisposing conditions are remarkably uncommon. Strategies focusing specifically on protecting high-risk elderly individuals should be considered in managing the pandemic"

TRANSLATION: Risk of death is fairly small for those under age 65. HOWEVER... this varies by city and country. It's much lower for those under age 65 if you live in Europe and much higher in the US.

Covid-19 ten times more deadly than Swine Flu

No real surprise here. If you look at the first paragraph, the numbers for the Swine Flu (1.6 million confirmed cases, 18,449 confirmed deaths from Swine Flu -over the period of 13 months have been matched by COVID-19 in only 4 months (as of today almost 2 million confirmed cases and 118,623 deaths).

It's interesting how a vaccine for covid-19 is being slow walked.

Vaccines are a waste of time and money, and provide at best a false sense of security.

The only solution to COVID-19 - and all other potential virus threats - is to learn how to naturally bolster your immune system so that you just don't have to worry about them any more.

Not sure if you did that on purpose or not.

The 18,449 deaths were only in the US, not world wide. That number should be compared to the total US deaths, not world wide. Yes, the number for COVID-19 is a bit higher, but that is more likely due to the numbers being cooked, and the more evidence that rears its head about that, the worse it looks. You don't even have to test positive for SARS-Cov-2 to be counted as a COVID-19 death... and most people who are dying, are actually dying from co-morbidities, not from COVID-19, just like with the flu - but with the flu, they are counted as dying from the co-morbidity, with COVID-19, they are counted as dying from COVID-19.

Can you say 'ulterior motive'?

In April of 2009 Dr fauci promised that one would be ready very quickly for H1N1.
H1N1 was a variant of an existing virus with existing vaccines.
There are no existing coronavirus vaccines.

Over the weekend, a man at an Arkansas state prison tested positive for COVID-19, the first prisoner in the state correctional system to do so. On Monday, the state announced that 43 of the 46 other men in the housing unit had tested positive.

Those numbers (as the article and other data says) are global confirmed statistics That particular link is Wikipedia but there are many other sources on this. The COVID cases are also confirmed (so... both sets of data are confirmed by lab testing, not by reports or suspected cases.)

There's plenty of data (going back to 2009) that confirm the two numbers I cited.

Washington, Oregon, and California have announced the Western States Pact

In the lack of guidance and leadership out of Washington DC, the three states have created a central planning group for coordinating the reopening their economies and controlling COVID-19. Each state retains its autonomy and each has pledged "Health outcomes and science – not politics - will guide these decisions."

This is the kind of thing the nation needs. And having a regional group means it's more effective (they can deal with West Coast economies rather than having to fight for those interests as opposed to (say) the Eastern Seaboard.) So they'll be several steps ahead of the rest of the nation in getting a better restart and recovery.

His link is correct and if you google you'll see that the 18K was WORLDWIDE. I double checked myself just to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding the link myself. According to Wikipedia the CONFIRMED deaths - 18,449. The estimate was much higher just like what we are dealing with now. All the numbers we have for COVID are only lab confirmed. The real estimate is much higher.

Virus strain Pandemic H1N1/09 virus
Location Worldwide
First outbreak North America[1][2]
Index case Veracruz, Mexico[1][3]
Date January 2009 – 10 August 2010[4][5]
Confirmed cases 1,632,710 (confirmed)[6]
Deaths
18,449 (lab-confirmed deaths reported to WHO;[7] flu patients were generally not tested)[8]
284,000 (range 151,700-575,400) (CDC and WHO estimate)[9]

Financial Times Graphs by John -Burn-Murdoch, more info and Graphs at the Link.
One addition, for Burdman (Why the Numbers don't add up to what is in the Daily Lists) :

Latest changes

April 9: All maps and charts now exclude nursing home deaths from France’s totals to maintain cross-national comparability
April 8: Added streamgraph and stacked column charts, showing regional daily deaths of patients diagnosed with coronavirus.
April 7: The maps now display total deaths rather than confirmed cases.

Quite a lot like what may have happened in China : People don't want to be the bearer of Bad News, lest they get their heads chopped off (metaphorically).

That can cause untold problems down the line...Thanks for the link.

Still, a surprising admission by Putin who has always been very careful with his messaging..

Cases seem to be falling daily in South Carolina, it's very encouraging. People aren't really taking social distancing that seriously here either so I'm very surprised.

Team Fortress 2 voice actor Rick May has died from Covid-19. I'm not a gamer so I don't really know who he is but thought I'd pass on the info... he was 79 and I think not in good health to start with
