On another note, is out of control in Italy, Spain, France and Germany.

Most of us are trying in France.

They've just banned any activity in the Forests in Ile-de-France.
I suspect its because everyone and their dog went to the Forests to get some fresh air, walk, Jog, and ended up having too many people in one place.

You are now not supposed to go for a walk, or walk your dog, any great distance from your home.

Also, the Curfew in Nice isn't for tonight 8pm, I can't edit the previous post, its to be put in motion in the "coming few days".

Houston has a new drive-through coronavirus test site, but three others can't open due to shortages

"We’ve been approved for four sites in Harris County, two in Houston and two in Harris County," Turner said. "But based on the availability of resources, we are only looking at [opening one], and that would be limited. As additional resources come in, then we will ramp up."

Turner said the city and county lack enough personal protection equipment, special swabs, and "the ability not just to test, but to analyze and get the results, all of those things are limited."

My BFF was tested in Houston today. She had a virtual call to the doc and because she'd been through the airport (had visited family in Arkansas last week) and a coworker was tested the doc said she needed a test due to her symptoms which have been ongoing for over a week (currently having trouble breathing at night and no energy, started with cough and fever). She said there was hardly a line because it was about to start pouring rain. It was a throat swab and it will take 3-4 days before results would be in. They are only calling positives.

I think Italy's numbers are as to be expected, it's been on lockdown for 2 weeks so people would have had it without the symptoms starting to show, I think from now give or take a few days the numbers will start coming down.

With regards to people slating the British Government, I think that's very unfair, I think Boris and Co. Have done a great job so far, barring army on the streets holding people at gun point what more can he do?

Everything has now been shut down and he's offering those who can't work 80% paid wages, baring in mind that's covering private company employees too that's excellent.

First coronavirus cases inside Pentagon reported - Air Force airman, contractor

The Pentagon has reported its first two coronavirus cases inside the building, a defense contractor and an active duty Air Force service member, an Air Force official told McClatchy.

The Air Force defense contractor entered the Pentagon on March 2, then attended a symposium at Andrews Air Force Base. A few days later the contractor had symptoms of COVID-19 and then tested positive for coronavirus, an Air Force official said on condition of anonymity.

My husband works at that base. He is currently sick with a fever going up and down, bad dry cough, hoarse voice, malaise. He’s been on leave. We did have to go to a doctors office last week for something else where there was a woman in the waiting room with one of the worst coughs I’ve ever seen or heard, and the ladies who work there made her finally put on a mask... but after she was coughing the entire time in the waiting room. Five days later my husband started getting sick. Had his flu shot this year too. Never seen him this sick. There are a bunch of confirmed cases nearby, and of course the ten on the base.

I am somehow not sick, but back in the end of December in New York my father and I had a horrible virus that left us with a nonstop dry cough, on and off fever, hoarse voice, extreme fatigue. I was sick for over two weeks, father was sick for over a month. Antibiotics did nothing. Was most likely a bad cold, I’m sure. But man... it was bad. Also an excruciating soul crushing headache one night during it, like I’ve never felt before.

I have two friends in different states ordered to quarantine themselves as they’re listed as “probable covid19”... no tests.

I should also add, if I really don’t get sick from him, it must be something I had before. Because honestly, I want to get this and get it over with now while we still have medical resources. So while we are stuck in the house together, I haven’t really been avoiding him, touching his things, etc. So the fact that I still feel fine is weird. Especially considering I have leukopenia and get sick just by looking at someone generally.

And I totally agree with NYT's OP-ED writer, and Nobel Prize winning economist - Paul Krugman's comment today --- "Because Trump was painfully slow to acknowledge the coronavirus, he simply cannot be trusted."

It was I that named Boris the Bold a while ago and in these threads!

UK numbers now updated. 714 new cases. But the new deaths has dropped to 33.

And I've just noticed that the total death number has dropped! A couple of pages ago UFO screenshotted the page at 6.24pm. On that scrreen shot it showed total deaths as 814. Now it says 177.

Confused.
