Sorry, but Italy is an anomaly, like China.

Should we take bets to which country in an anomaly?

Watching the U.K. news live conference with the CMO and there’s a female journalist repeatedly coughing and sniffing throughout!

MV Corona cleared of Corona.

Cape Town - Transnet National Ports Authority confirmed that test results from the individuals suspected to be the first cases of Covid-19 in any South African sea-port have all come back negative.

Earlier this week two vessels, the general cargo vessel MV Corona and the luxury passenger liner AIDAmira, were held off port limits outside the Port of Cape Town. The cruise liner was later allowed to dock but its roughly 1 700 passengers and crew remained onboard pending test results from one suspected Covid-19 case and seven others who had possible contact with him.

Wonderful naming of the ship.

So much for just the old dying. 0 - 50 = 25.4% is not good!

Sorry, but Italy is an anomaly, like China.

The numbers for the rest of the world - except China and Iran - are not coming even close to Italy's.

I read that Italy has a huge immigrant population, so it would be good to see stats on the nationalities of those dying. Maybe there are a lot of chinese that were given the SARS vaccine that was later shown to be very problematic (could cause Cytokine storms that kill you quick)?
What about Spain, Germany and US and the fact that there re are no real numbers coming out of India or other places does not mean its not progressing.

Soon you are not going to have an argument to stick to.

The numbers are starting to make you seem like you are seriously trying to skew the numbers in your favor. You know, like you are trying to accuse the other side of

Just had word folks the army is moving out of Colchester. My dads business’s partner is on the road now and there’s a convoy headed to London. Police on the bridges along the route. I’ll update as I hear more

Apparently you don't know the meaning of anomaly.

What about Spain, Germany and US

Spains is a little higher at 4.2% - not sure why.

Germany's is the lowest of all, been hovering @ 0.2% for a long time, so we definitely should be looking closely at that and figure out why.

The US has been hovering around 1.6-1.8%, currently around 1.6 and going down, likely because of the ramping up testing.

All much much lower than Italy.

Why?

Yeah, thats what you've been saying for weeks - but the numbers are only getting better, not worse.

Not sure what you're trying to show from that link... shows a worldwide CFR of about 4%, but that is including Chinas numbers, that we all know are pure bunk, as well as Italy's and Irans.

Sorry to rain on your doom-porn parade. Carry on...

Your CFR numbers are creeping up. What were they a week or two ago?

I'm just pointing out that you are constantly moving the goal post to make it seem like your argument has been the same all along.

At first it was China's numbers a were bunk, the Iran's, now Italy's? What gives? Why are you even trying to use numbers if you say the numbers are bunk.

Doom porn? Nah I'm just showing your willingness to blindly follow whatever numbers you choose to make your agenda ring "true".

Doom porn, Nah I haven't even really been posting much here the past week. I want to believe it is all overblown. I've prepared, I'm just sitting back waiting to see what on the hell is going on.

It seems like the "smart" people all around the most powerful leaders in the world are speaking the same "doom porn", this is coming from all sides of the political spectrum. The ones that are ignoring the problem are the ones that are suffering the most problems, from the problem. That is not doom porn.

But you know, it's just doom porn to point out that the numbers are slipping a bit. Remember it was 99.8% in mild condition, as regurgitated by many people here. Well now that number is 95%.

What numbers do you want to skew to change the narrative now?

Remember, it kills severe cases faster than they will recover.

If your severe case goes critical, it takes less than 20 days on average for you to die from it, but if you're going to beat it, then it will take you at least 3 weeks on average to survive and recover to the point where they know you will live and call you recovered.

In the early days in any of these outbreaks, deaths outpace recoveries because of this.

The real lesson is to keep it from getting out of control on you.

Remove Wuhan's numbers from the rest of China, and their numbers are comparable to South Korea's at 0.7%. Italy and Iran allowed their outbreaks to get way out of control.

The Dutch government has opted to more or less allow this thing to run its course too, so they are going to see some high numbers like you see in Italy and Iran.

We're trying to fight it into something of a stalemate to reduce our deaths.

If we're talking NYC proper for many of these, then they are packed in denser. This thing loves close contact.

West Coast cities are still spread out a bit more for all that they are big and populous.
