And that is the elephant in the room people are choosing to ignore. Your health care system can only respond if not overwhelmed with cases. There are cities with a finite # of hospitals, and they are having to refuse care. When some cases require weeks of help to breath, that's a massive problem. People are overestimating the U.S. health system if they think it can manage ICU beds and required hospital care for a large # of pneumonia cases.

That's why containment is needed. Countries are having to build emergency hospitals to help with the outbreaks. The preventive measure is to help contain the spread. They mangled this badly during the Spanish Flu outbreak. It would be a sad thing if we as a country were to repeat that.

American officials could be convinced by the deep state the corona bioweapon escaped from the Wuhan lab, or was deliberately released by the CCP to quell rising civil discontent.

How could Chinese officials be convinced it was released by the US? Especially now it seems certain it will effect the US, seems counter intuitive.

We have seen possible increased virulence in China and Iran. Claims of higher covered up death tolls. The videos of people dropping on the streets. A rumour of a different strain of the virus in Iran.

Could be explained by a stealth pathogen. A virus sarscov2 with other bioengineered elements HIV etc. contained within, activated by frequencies from cell towers, radio, or even phased arrays(like haarp).

Then we would basically have two viruses as mentioned by TD. The second even more lethal one, when activated, going through the four stage severe attack, causing the symptoms we have seen in China and Iran, but have yet to see elsewhere.

It's that latter idea that, in fact, one finds clearly outlined in the US Air Force document, on page 15 in the actual document, and page 26 if you're searching in the pdf file:

Stealth Viruses: The basic concept of this potential bioweapon is to “produce a tightly regulated, cryptic viral infection that can enter and spread in human cells using vectors” (similar to the gene therapy) and then stay dormant for a period of time until triggered by an internal or external signal. The signal then could stimulate the virus to cause severe damage to the system. Stealth viruses could also be tailored to secretly infect a targeted population for an extended period using the threat of activation to blackmail the target.

State of the Bioweapon: Stealth viruses just like the gene therapy, require a vector to be inserted in the body and lay dormant until a trigger mechanism is activated either internally or externally. Imagine having a cancer causing virus enter a human cell and lay dormant until an external signal triggers the disease. When the signal gets activated the cells become abnormal and could rapidly generate abnormal cell growth leading to a tumor and ultimately, death. Now, apply this concept to a population where an HIV virus gets disseminated within a target population. At a specific time chosen by the perpetrator, the signal would be triggered to harm an entire population all at once. Although this bioweapon is futuristic it is not improbable and deserves to be examined. (italicized emphasis added)

From what I've heard, people have started buying more face masks. Problem is, most people are ignorant and go for the surgical masks (that are almost useless for coronavirus protection) People aren't stocking up. Realistically speaking, most people cannot afford to stock up anyway.
Mainstream media says that there's nothing to worry about. "People should see how the situation is already under control in China" even our supposed epidemologists are telling the media that this is just like a common cold. If someone gets it, he should remain at home and treat it as he treats the ordinary cold. Also, media is telling people to not buy masks, nor to cause panic. There could even be penalties for such behavior!
The reality is that Colombia is heavily in debt to China. A company from there is supposed to start building a new subway over here later this year. Also, our supposed right wing president went last year to China, and left a wreath to a Communist monument over there. Just because he wanted to sell avocados to that country lol.

Ecuador: Our neighbor to the south. Remember there was one case yesterday? now there's six.

It's tough to be too early, but very VERY easy to be too late.

Every confirmed case of this coronavirus is proving to be the tip of yet another large iceberg. By the time you know it is here, it has already been here for 2 weeks.

If someone had told me before this situation that some parts of Italy would be on a forced lockdown with a 3 month prison sentence for non compliance, I would have NOT believed it! But it is happening.
I think it's easier to lock down smaller zones, much harder for bigger cities with multiple roads in and out.
I believe the tweet could be real, but I would expect some build up or hints to it in the mentioned places e.g. San Fran which is huge. Unless the army could just roll up super quick and start blockades...
A question to military people here - is that possible? Would the military have to give notice for these types of things for the public to prepare or can it be done without warning? I have no idea about that.

Morning news articles over here consist of the gov telling people what to do and what not to do, while virologists are openly arguing about the best approach. It seems that they are finding new cases by NOT following the WHO guidelines and a lot of doctors are urging the gov to start testing about everyone who has flu symptoms. Hospitals are booked full for virus testing.

In Belgium, a small country with 11 mil citizens, which is the same as the city of Wuhan, they are doing press conference after press conference, still acting like they can handle it.
Yesterday they said " we have 50 quarantine rooms ready".... 50? seriously? lol
