Not sure why people get freaked out about "breaking news." It's obvious there are probably dozens or even hundreds of cases on the extremities of the United States. NY, Florida, Seattle, San Fran, and so on - there are probably MANY infected. And probably more than 2 deaths. Verified doesn't mean reality. Clearly this has been around and spreading for 2 + weeks. It's going to spread throughout the U.S. - and there are probably plenty of positive cases in states bordering those outward-facing states accepting flights from other countries.

The U.S. has literally no restrictions in place, pretty much no testing to this point.. it's going to spread rapidly. Freaking out with "OMG NEW CASES BREAKING NEWS A 2ND DEATH OMG!" is not.. productive, nor accurate. There are a lot more cases and probably deaths as well.

Just talked with relative who works at a large regional hospital. All they have been told is what to do if it is a single case not when multiple cases come at once. They are waiting on test results on a number of swabs. Didn't say how many nor when results are expected back. Their nursing and other staff are not prepared for what may come.

So I just stumbled on this. The cdc recommend emt ambulances to be driven with the back doors open and the ac blasting. I am imagining this lmao 🤣

If the vehicle has a rear exhaust fan, use it to draw air away from the cab, toward the patient-care area, and out the back end of the vehicle.

I understand your concerns. Wow. I work at a school so ya....the corona forecast is sounding like a blizzard right now. Concerning.

There can't be a whole lot of reserve cash to keep pumping in because we are already trying to take the heating oil emergency funds for those living in poverty.

“A document that the Trump administration sent to Congress, which we have seen, indicates that the administration is transferring $37 million to emergency funding for the coronavirus response from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, which funds heating for poor families,” they reported.

That was five days ago. Hope that thought changed and another source was found.

Especially since it was going in part to create coronavirus test kits by a third party vendor it appears. (wonder who got that contract?).

I’ve never felt so glad to use ZeroWater filtering than today. I bought some extra Life Straws anyway since we hike with those. Definitely noticed Wal Mart shelves had lower stocks than normal, Trader Joe’s and Sprouts were in normal shape.
