It's amazing how people are overreacting. I noticed this week that people are not flushing public toilets. They think the handle carries CoronaVirus, lol.

So true !

Its not true, you literally can get it from flushing handles

Oh really? Be sure to point to the studies that validate your claim. I'll post one here that refutes yours:

"Some coronaviruses can live on surfaces for days, but not much is known about the new coronavirus' ability to survive on surfaces."

Source: www.livescience.com...

Don't let facts get in the way of your hyperventilating fear mongering.

Do you wanna take the risk and be the one that confirms it?

What risk? Every 37 seconds someone dies from hear disease in the US. You have more risk continuing to eat at McDonalds than you do of getting CV. But stay locked in your bunker mate and letting CNN program you.

Heart disease isn’t contagious

But in this thread stupidity and fear mongering CLEARLY is.

Well, just give it a couple more weeks. Only time will tell. Personally, I think we are on a bad track, heading for a broken bridge.

You guys said that 2 weeks ago. Should we wait another 2 weeks for you to say, "Just wait another 2 weeks" ?

Two weeks ago the US had 15 cases. Those numbers didn’t change for days. We have gained over 100 in less than 72 hours.
You tell us

Add CoronaVirus to the things that make humans sick, like the Flu, Food Poisoning, Cancer, etc..

For crying out loud enough bickering.

It doesnt matter if you think its serious or not. People are dying and people are worried.

All the drs, medical professionals, scientists, WHO, CDC saying its an emergency... they arent all lying or all involved in some global hoax..

If you dont believe its serious thats fine, go talk trash in other threads.

I made this for information and updates.

People dont need to panic - no one here is panicking.

Be aware, updated and prepared!

Thats why this thread is here... for updates!

It could be just a one off. This is the only one we have heard of. Possibly his organs sustained enough damage that they shut down? Don't know. Something to keep an eye out for.

Uk update:
So today when I looked at the news at 11am,we were at 90 cases.
I just saw on the news at 11.30pm we are at 116cases,and sadly the first death has occured.
It was a patient in a Berkshire hospital, who had other illnesses and is believed not to have travelled outside the UK recently.

So 26 confirmed cases and a death due to human to human transmission within the UK it looks like

Is that the same one who came down with viral encephalitis which caused doctors to think it can attack the CNS?

It really seems that some posters are very jittery around about now. I won’t jump to assumptions why that may be (it’s obvious) but please... do not jump in and start causing aggravation for the sake of it. There’s been a few like this and everytime it’s a ball ache and a hinderance. Just look at the facts and extrapolate or interject supposition or even contribute with personal testimonies. Arguing for the sake of it is wearing thin, in this thread at least.

Well the reality is, if your not over the age of 55, and have no pre existing health conditions, I think health wise you will be ok. It’s the baby boomer generation, we need to worry about at the moment. Roughly 74 million people. Again I don’t wanna get any people’s knickers in a bunch.

I am a few pages back here but seriously those who do not plan on retiring at this time, need to stick it out for thelong term dividends on their investments. It is rediculous to think that they are being smart by cashing in or reducing their 401k investments.

I just told my husband to increase our investment percentages. We will recover and if you are not about to retore this year or next...it is rediculous to sell for cash.

The article says 14% have a recurrence. I can't find stats on it, but influenza relapse is also a known issue with flu viruses. Ultimately I still believe that's what this is, a new flu virus. All new flus hit extremely hard their first year, then seem to become a lot less aggressive in subsequent seasons.
