So, uh, I’m wrong about the CDC site circa yesterday?

I must’ve not included that under *6/*60 CFR.
Which suggests .10%.... That’ve been too much??

Don’t cough on the messenger bro. Plenty others on here are cashier and savvier than I by degrees, and way more sage were also skeptical of the CDC site.

Doom Porn....HA I like Bigfoot not pandemics yo

LOL. You pick out the numbers as what I was respond too...

No I was responding to, "I’m sure the Nat’l Quarantine, FEMA camps, then Martial Law, are approaching".

I picked them out because they have occurred. You mustve not seen the part where I say specifically
“I don’t want this to happen”; because I Don’t

I’ll wait

FEMA preparing for possible coronavirus emergency declaration

"To me this is another indication that the president and the White House are finally aware of the gravity of the situation," said former FEMA official Michael Coen.

FEMA officials are preparing for an "infectious disease emergency declaration" by the president that would allow the agency to provide disaster relief funding to state and local governments, as well as federal assistance to support the coronavirus response, according to agency planning documents reviewed by NBC News.

The more we learn about this the worse it seems to get. It seems there's just no end in sight.

Wer'e going to get a vaccine before the end of the year
just be careful until then.
Once they get a vaccine it will be much easier to tweak for other strains.
its spreading very slowly, which is good
buys us time and free's up space in the hospital

No disagreement with that sentiment at all,

Covid-19 Attacks Central Nervous System

In light of information like the above link. Humans have no business nor maturity to screw around with stuff like this.

All through these threads there are people who have split into two groups. One side says covid-19 is serious and we need to be prepared for the worst. The other side keeps saying that the regular seasonal flu is more dangerous and kills more people than covid-19.

Something about that bothered me and didn't make sense. Of course the numbers for the seasonal flu, H1N1 and H3N2 this year, are higher. We have years and years of data on them and only three months of data on covid-19.

You can't compare years and years worth of statistics on one virus to just three months of statistics on another virus. If you want to get a real idea of how dangerous one virus is compared to another you have to compare them both at the same age. We have three months of data on covid-19 and the mortality rate is 3.4% I believe. So what was the mortality rate of h1n1 at three months? According to the CDC it was .4%. The Swine flu epidemic of 2009 was .4% three months in.

H1N1 was first detected in Mexico in mid-March, 2009. By mid-June, 2009, there were a total of 44,287 cases world wide with 180 deaths.

Not far from me either, I'm in Galveston County.

For those of you so inclined, at what point do you button up and cease interacting with the outside world in person?

Great question! Me personally? I will not be leaving our property again until my freezer is empty. Unfortunately my husband still has to go to work, so its not going to do us much good.

Coronavirus: containment is now 'unlikely', says NSW health minister

“I think at this point it is fair to say that we do have an evolution happening in the spread of this virus,” New South Wales health minister Brad Hazzard said.

Coronavirus latest updates: Australia warns its 'worst-case' scenario is millions infected over several weeks

“We do know that containment is likely to be an unlikely outcome, so we need to work constructively with the community to continue our effort to emphasise to the community that [controlling the virus] is a partnership … Our community has to be doing everything they can do to support us in defeating what has really become a war in defeating this coronavirus.”

Wow, really, could've told us this two months ago when they first found out.

Goons.

Firstly, yeah, unsurprisingly we've been lied to, containment was never on the table in the first place. Needless to say there'll be some plausible deniability somewhere, it's what they do and it's why things need to change.

Secondly, they are utterly delusional. They seem to be hoping for some weird slo-mo pandemic situation whereby they can, from a medical standpoint, appear to have "control". I'm sure, with his usual BS spin, that's what Scotty from marketing will tell you.

The onslaught is coming and the worst of it will probably be a couple of months away, when winter hits.

I remember tweeting to both Greg Hunt and Brad Hazard when they first started making public appearances trying to make it look like they were all over this outbreak. They were often days and even weeks behind the latest news and evidence. In fact it might be worth collecting some of their early statements for when future generations look back and study how poorly this was all handled.

Autopsies show severe damage to COVID-19 patients' lungs and immune system, according to a doctor in Wuhan reached by the Global Times, who called for measures to prevent fibrosis of the lungs at an early stage of the disease.

"The influence of COVID-19 on the human body is like a combination of SARS and AIDS as it damages both the lungs and immune systems," Peng Zhiyong, director of the intensive care unit of the Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in Wuhan, told the Global Times on Friday.

Australian Update

Some key points to consider from the "Official Gubment Data"

6 cases did not have a reported history of overseas travel, with 4 of these cases associated with an aged care facility in NSW and the remaining 2 cases reported as health care workers at other health care facilities in NSW

the source of infection for the remaining 3 cases is currently under investigation

The line bolded and italicised should read as a short conversation much along the lines of;

Reporter; "So the remaining 3 cases, where did their infection originate from?"
Gubment; "F#$% knows."

look back and study how poorly this was all handled

Some others and I noted the poor response from the start. Honestly, as I have noted previously, our gubments response is like watching a slow motion train crash.

From your source..

The paper said there was apparent damage to the patient's lungs. An excess production of mucus spilled out of the alveoli, indicating COVID-19 causes an inflammation response that damages deep airways and pulmonary alveoli.

That sounds awfully similar to how capt trips killed in the stand, yikes if what they are saying is true that's frightening.

Been thinking about, what could be the factor that makes so big difference between coronavirus infection & mortality count. And at this point i would say it might be gut microbiome differences, since it differs between countrys ....The food that people eat in every country modify gut microbiome , and since it`s common that the food differs between countrys the composition of microbiome also differs.

Human immunity comes around 70% from gut microbes ( estimates vary, but huge amount still ) Gut microbes can create a lot antimicrobial substances, sort of antibiotics & antivirals also.

So as we look the abnormalitys between coronavirus infection & mortality , Italy vs France for example , or South Korea vs Vietnam ....it makes no sense to have such a huge differences ...unless there is a factor in human immunity that effects how can they deal this corona ...

How moving to another country can transform your gut microbiome

Moving to another country could mess with your gut bacteria

Gut microbiota as a source of novel antimicrobials

Also use of agriculture chemicals, pesticides etc can have effect to gut microbiome, pesticides like RoundUp etc...
