Agreed. Gotten more quiet... Maybe if it’s not talked about it’ll go away. Sigh...

Part of my Conspiracy brain wonders if Iger plans on spending time in his bunker since he departed Disney a year or so early.

I know what you mean, but probably not. He has extended his retirement date 4 times already. Disney didn't want him to leave. He's getting old. Of course, maybe his being old and more susceptible to dying from coronavirus is the reason for the abrupt departure.

Hi everyone, I can now say where I am. I'm in Italy at the moment, Rome to be exact. I believe that Italy is being dumped on as the European super spreader of the Covid19 virus.

The high numbers, in such a short time, have caused some of this illusion. The reason the numbers are high are twofold.

1. As soon as the 38 year old was diagnosed with the virus, the government went into hyperdrive. Sealed the towns involved and started testing everyone showing "flu" symptoms. I remember reading that over 3K tests were done in two days. Also, total transparency of the results and numbers were made available to the rest of Europe and world authorities. The emergency plans were always ready, but on hold.

I believe that if other countries do the same amount of testing, now and in a relatively short time frame, then they would all have similar results.

2. Italy's error was in stopping flights to/from China. People are clever and they made their way here via roundabout routes. Flying into other countries and then hop, skipping and jumping across open European borders with few or no controls.

My prediction is that numbers will skyrocket in the whole of Europe and most other continents, even if for a short while, and hopefully not with apocalyptic consequences.

My only doubt is who will survive better, first or third world countries. Poorer countries make for hardier people. Perhaps they are better prepared biologically to overcome the virus. Obviously the weak, old and already sick will find it hard to survive. For first world countries I fear panic, angst and "discomfort" will be the biggest killers, more than the virus itself, I don't know.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A flight attendant for Korean Air who worked several flights out of Los Angeles International Airport has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

The 24-year-old was diagnosed Tuesday in southern Seoul, according to the Korea Joongang Daily newspaper.

Wonder if this had anything to do with LAs decision?

Currently between jobs so decided to commit myself to reading ALL of this thread.

A day and a half later I was stuck on 14th of February so came to realise that wasn’t feasible!

Even with skipping pages it’s been a long read but the most informative catch up I could have imagined! Good work everyone!

Even though there might be stronger people in poorer countries, pandemonium occurs often. If there's upheavals this will keep the virus alive for a long time (not to mention the violence).

I've followed from day one of this thread but still had to a bit of skipping. When I get home from work for example I often read every third page or I'd never catch up.a reply to: ClandestineKid

Yes, I grant you that. Perhaps the lack of information (social media or otherwise) might actually be the best thing for the developing world. No information = no pandemonium. Too many of us suffer from information overload, which leads to anxiety, depression and lots of confusion.

Sorry, been very busy today so unable to post updates till now, hopefully these haven't been posted already.

Coronavirus panic forces London advertising agency OMD to close as worker who travelled through Singapore comes down with flu-like symptoms..

www.dailymail.co.uk...

member returned from international travel via Singapore and is now being tested for coronavirus.
OMD UK has closed its office in Fitzrovia and has sent staff members home and is set to reopen on Monday.
Security is on patrol around the building and there is currently a sign on the door stating it is closed.
OMD UK is part of Omnicom Media Group (OMG) and a spokesperson for the firm said the employee in question had been on business in Australia.
The worker had stopped off in Singapore which so far has recorded 91 cases of the virus.

Looks like it's about to get busy in London.

Prepper think: put a sign on your door that says "Warning: NCOV19 Home-Quarantine. Please leave packages on doorstep."

That might give people with bad intentions a pause.

Wow! That's all really interesting! Funny that the consensus is it's a US conspiracy haha! I do wonder how many people are just getting some other diagnosis and then it's swept under the rug. Our numbers in the US make no sense. We have too many travelers to not being seeing higher numbers. I appreciate you rejoining and giving us info.
