I was curious since we're scrambling here at work to try and get some of the government relief paperwork pre-filled in case the governor (or the President) gives us a shelter in place order. I'm actually somewhat surprised that Inslee hasn't given the order yet so he can fall in line with other liberal governors.

From what I read it will based on your income when you filed taxes in 2018.
If you payed into the government you get up to 1200$ if you did not pay into the government in 2018 you get much less.
If you didn't file taxes in 2018 you get nothing regardless of if you have a job today.

If he did bring in Yang, that is a smart move on several levels.
If Yang had a well considered plan ready to go or with little modification, it solves a problem in minimal time. It shows that Trump is not averse to picking a person who can help while denying identity politics, which are the bane of the modern world. This may help unify the country in the face of the media trying to polarize it. Even Ilhan Omar praised Trump.
We see the stark contrast between the leadership of Trump/Pence and that of Obama/Biden when Joe was in charge of the Swine Flu epidemic and only took six months and 1,000 deaths to declare an emergency.

That all depends on which proposal gets signed. Every bill presented has been different. Some of them are saying people who make over 100k will get $1000 while the opposite side of the tier gets $4000. Too many inconsistencies with every relief bill proposed to be so definite about it. I can tell you that McConnells plan isn't even worth it to accomplish what they say they want to accomplish. They either need something that's going to help help, or nothing at all. No sense in wasting taxpayer money otherwise. $1200 will barely cover rent for a month for a lot of people, and they want two payments of $600 for that. Not to mention auto payments, food, necessities, and other bills.
