I don't think you understand. We are not failing. We want it very very clear who believes what. The people on this thread are making it really clear what they believe. The guy I'm replying to expect people to report their parents and line themselves up for deportation.

Fairly sure I'm not seeing any indication of hatred nor hatred being the basis for the shutdown. What I do see is a bunch of children vying for political points however.

No I don't think you understand. You don't get to make exceptions to laws already on the books by presidential decree. You change the law which is exactly where the publicans are taking a stance, using the term loosely as it is the stance of the POTUS.

See the biggest mistake is assuming that your 'side' is always right. Whether it's by values or feels.

we`ll all do just fine because the politicians care more about what we think than what they think, in other words politicians just want to get re-elected and they won`t get re-elected if they don`t make us voters think that they did something awesome.

Its happened before however you can tell your son to apply for an advance on his pay. Have him contact USAA, Navy Federal and Marine Federal Credit Unions. They will give him a 3 month advance on base pay. I used this when I was in the military after a shutdown and payment is deducted over 12 months.

The other cool thing is any money you pay back can be re borrowed any time. So say you paid back 3000.00 you can again borrow that 3000.00 again if needed.
