You two are bound and determined to make me pay for your healthcare.

I'd help pay for yours, if I knew it would help you stay well.

*shrug*

NO!

Jesus!

It's not your responsibility.

IT IS MINE.

But what if you couldn't?

AAAAAIIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

What part of "it's my responsibility" did you miss?

It's my job, it is my responsibility as a father, husband to see to the needs of my family.

It is not YOUR job, it is not GOVERNMENT's job to do it.

It is mine.

As a man, as a father, as a husband, it is part of being who we are.

It is NOT up to government, it is NOT up to you, what treatment my family gets.

If you are a clean living person who goes to church, join Christian Sharing Healthcare. They "help each other" like you're offering to do for DBCowboy.

This "association" is exploding in growth, thanks to ObamaCareHell: www.healthcaresharing.org...

No.

Responsibility. Learn about that word.

I will fight to pay for your healthcare.

It is not my responsibility. It is yours.

Also, as I've pointed out multiple times, YOU'RE ALREADY PAYING.

Why do you enjoy wasting your money on the for-profit insurance industry?

Is it YOUR JOB to pay for their profits?

Do you not realize that the ENTIRE HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY is predicated upon getting you to pay for other people's medical care?

How do you feel about paying for their highways?

I have a 4 by 4, by all means... remove the GD roads and give me back my $0.16 a gallon gasoline tax contribution.

Any other socialized programs you'd like to do away with?

Police?
The Military?
The Fire Department?

We don't need no stinking infrastructure, do we?

It is, by the best means possible.

It is not YOUR job,

No, but I'm willing to help those who can't.

As a man, as a father, as a husband, it is part of being who we are.

It is. Which is also part of a community. You would not have certain "luxuries" if you weren't part of the "community."

No, but sadly it's become what you can afford. I think everyone should be able to afford, or receive, treatment.

Just so you know, no one would be deciding what treatment your family gets. You still get the same control there. You're the man. The Father. The Husband.

Nah, I'm actually not joking. I honestly believe there are better ways to handle our healthcare issues in this country than forcing people to make a profit for private corporations.

The healthcare industry is broken. Forget insurance, remove that from the equation for a moment. Focus on the actual healthcare industry. From hospitals and forced ambulance rides to the medication they provide costing absurd amounts just because it's done in a hospital. With several general practice doctors in most towns there's no reason one should not be able to see them for a decent cost. With medication being vastly synthesized and pumped out at breakneck speed there is no reason why most medications should cost so much. The 'treat instead of cure' mentality needs to be killed with fire. Maybe if regulations, hardcore draconian level stuff, were in place or enforced that would shut down hawkish medical practice and people would get right. I doubt it though. I don't pretend to have all the solutions but I do think we're handling the problem all wrong.

Replacing solutions to the medical / healthcare industry by focusing on insurance doesn't solve the problems, it ignores them. It puts a band-aid (that you pay for, at mark up, with profit to the distributor, manufacturer and applier) on the problem while the infection festers. Why treat it? People have insurance...

Nope. Say whatever you want of me. I do not support forcing people to buy insurance from private corporations so they can make a profit. That doesn't fix anything.

Don't be irresponsible.

Some view it that way, sure. Others view it as government providing a service for those who otherwise wouldn't have that service, especially in regards to the health of the citizens.

Bite me.

I am not responsible for you just because you don't want to take responsibility.
