Anyone watching this PHENOMENAL press conference with the "managers" of the House baseball teams?

I think things are about to calm down quite a bit in DC for a while...

What happens to people who advocated for a coup d'etat, burning the white house, and so on?

Do they really have that right? Nothing happens to them?

Do the financial backers like Soros get a pass and invitation to do worse?

How would whether he dies or not change the truthfulness of witness statements? I think you're thinking too much into this.

It was known that the Congressmen had been practicing at this location for the past few months. At least locally. And apparently the shooter had been in the area for three months.

As mentioned somewhere (maybe here), he was apparently tapped into a campaign structure, so he was super-involved in politics in a way most people aren't. It wouldn't be surprising if he knew the game was coming up.

Right, and he probably knew that and that's why he showed up. But he wasn't 100% sure or he wouldn't have walked up and asked who was practicing and asked whether they were Dem or Republican. And if he was targeting Scalise specifically, he probably wouldn't have asked anything at all, he would've just looked for Scalise. This is what makes me doubt Scalise was targeted specifically.

These political whinings are worse than just annoying...they're actually helping to make sure nothing gets resolved and more people get shot. This is not what ATS is all about... getting information and sharing ideas is what ATS is about.

Some people need to buck up and just grin and bear it.

they do this baseball for charity...for many years...one was quoted he participates every year for the last 16 years that he has had his job

I am.....someone needs to step up and make an attempt to restore some sanity regarding the way things currently stand. It's time to try and work together for the good of the country and stop the divide. Time will tell how this all pans out, but one can hope for some sanity to return anyways.

Disagree. He holds a powerful and prominent position as House Majority Whip. If he is murdered, I don't think it can be overthought.

Watch from :14 to :16....it's video taken by one person but it was cut and spliced together at that point. (And at several other spots. It's very odd)

I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that the attempted murder has already taken place. We don't know if he'll survive or not. Believing witness statements now, but then changing your mind if he dies makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm sure once all the info comes out it will paint a story of him losing gradually over time.

Rough home life, quiting his job/business mixed with the stresses of having extreme political views...etc.

No matter. What he did today cost him his life and we can only hope no one else's.

Wait one of the witnesses said it sounded like firecrackers. Where's the 9/11 guys? Maybe there was no guns at all, just firecrackers, because everything should be taken 100% literally.

Yeah. Why is it that in every other situation on earth people of all works will work together except politics?

I've worked with Liberals/Conservatives/Libertarians/Greenies/Communists/Christians/Catholics/Scientologists/Athiest etc etc in the Army, Dozens of corporations, clubs, organizations, associations, small businesses, community groups, schools, tournaments etc. and this kind of idiocy only comes up with politics and what's worse is that we buy into it. We think that there can be compromise and negotiations and solutions in every area of life, except when it comes to the right vs left in our government. Why is it that you guys are so brainwashed? LOL
