If you say so... I refuse to vote for a lying pig legged idiot that sees me as her number one enemy. How stupid would I have to be to do that? There's a real threat to our lives, all of our lives, out there, and it's not Conservatives and global warming. Would you vote for me if I considered you my enemy?

How about worrying about the primaries? You're a Republican right? Well there's a whole army of Republicans you can choose from before even worrying about Hillary's chances for Presidency. I'm doing my bit by trying to get Bernie nominated.

If there was a chance that I could stop all muslims from entering the country until we got this problem fixed, in order for you to feel safer, would you want me to drop out of the presidential race? Less than a month ago, people were crying for Carson to drop out of the race because he was mean too. Face it man, people on your side just don't want confrontation or someone that might say something mean to a minority. You guys can bash and belittle right wingers all day long though. Y'all can dish it, but you sure as hell can't take it.

If there was a chance that you could stop all muslims from entering the country until we got this problem fixed (what problem exact? the terrorism problem? When is that supposed to be fixed? Is sequestering ourselves from muslims REALLY going to foster better relations between us and them?) in order to feel safer, I'd laugh at you. Well I'd do what I'm doing now. Call you out for being unamerican. I don't trade security for freedom.

So if you're not scared, why do you support the banning of his presidential run?

Is that a real question?

Nobody has banned his run. We're questioning the man himself - not his rights

You haven't seen the other thread then, where people are advocating for his ban in the UK. And I've seen on here that people think he should drop his presidential run. I guess you missed it.

Does anyone here that disagrees with Trumps idea of closing off the country to Muslims, have a better idea to protect Americans from a (Islamic) terror attack?
We here politicians talk constantly about protecting the country and it's citizens.
If we are actively at war with a certain type of individual, wouldn't make sense to keep that type out of the country?

That's the problem. His opponents only have insults and a strange desire to tell everyone their feelings regarding trump, but fail to provide any rational counter-argument. It's a name calling match, and trump is winning.

That being said, I wholeheartedly disagree with disallowing Muslims entry to the country. we are not at war with a religion.

I've been feeling the same way about the polarization. I have a serious feeling that another Democrat is going to win the Presidential election again, exposing that the hateful rhetoric of even the mainstream GOP candidates isn't going to get them elected anymore. This will herald in more years of increasing divisive politics. At some point that divisiveness needs to be addressed or it will boil over into violence.

When your number one enemy is your political opponent, that's what happens. Anyone who truly thinks hillary is the answer is more or less supporting the future violence because so far it's her and obama that think the right are their #1 enemy. That's their greatest threat along with global warming. How a person can't see that ridiculousness is beyond me.

Are there any Hillary supporters on this site? I'm yet to see one. Plus, I agree with Krazyshot. I haven't thought of muslims at all today until I started reading ATS. I won't say I haven't noticed an issue. But I don't wake up fearing for my life and don't think banning all muslims is the right answer. Sorry I keep adding to the post, but banning all muslims would be the same as banning all christians. The extremists of each of the religions spread hate in similar ways.

I can see you agree with KrazySh0t. Both of you act like I said y'all are hillary supporters. But y'all are both krazy if you think she's not going to be the other choice. You'll have to choose one. I don't wake up fearing muslims, nor does anyone else I would assume. The problem y'all are missing is that we already have enough extremists here. Keeping muslims from entering into America until we fix this problem is a very good way to assure Americans that no more than we already have will be coming here. It's a very, VERY simple concept.

Well based on what I'm reading there have been more deaths in regards to terrorism from right-wing extremists, than jihadists.

WASHINGTON — In the 14 years since Al Qaeda carried out attacks on New York and the Pentagon, extremists have regularly executed smaller lethal assaults in the United States, explaining their motives in online manifestoes or social media rants.

But the breakdown of extremist ideologies behind those attacks may come as a surprise. Since Sept. 11, 2001, nearly twice as many people have been killed by white supremacists, antigovernment fanatics and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims: 48 have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim, including the recent mass killing in Charleston, S.C., compared with 26 by self-proclaimed jihadists, according to a count by New America, a Washington research center.

What? Why should we come up with better ideas/solutions to a non-existent threat invented by the right wing media? There is no Islamic threat to this country, therefore there needs to be no solution to it. Or rather, our solution, is to keep our borders as open as they are and deal with any problems as they come up. It's not like terrorism happens all that often in the states from Muslims.

Those are lone wolves that aren't supported by Christians, lol.

Muslims came out and denounced what they did in San Bernadino. So they were not supported by Muslims.

lol

Talking like a teenage girl does not give weight to your argument.

America has enough problems. Right-wing extremist sovereign citizens, muslim extremists, gangs, drugs, etc

So you agree Right Wing extremism is a problem as well. To combat that problem should we stop the Right Wing media from pushing propaganda on TV, radio and internet? Or perhaps we deport them back to the country their ancestors came from?

Why on Earth would you compound those problems by letting more possible extremists into this country?

Why would we compound the issue by letting the Right Wing to continue what it is doing? Remember, you opened this can of worms.

You're overlooking the big picture so you can insult religion.

I see the big picture just fine. Thanks for your concern. And in my opinion, Religion is not the problem here. It's propaganda and stupid people.

Yet his support and numbers continue to increase while you continue to talk about him being consistently devoid of actual facts. I'd rather the lie of a thousand dancing muslims than the lie of a video being responsible, or if you like your plan you can keep it, period. Did the dancing muslims comment hurt you? Because not keeping my original plan that I liked hurt my finances.

So what you pretty much said here is that you have no problem with liars and will support one as long as the lies support your confirmation bias. What makes you any different than a rabid Hillary supporter?

Not much.

That position lacks integrity, honesty and intelligence.

It's probably safe to say that you've got comprehension issues.

No. I understand quite well.

I think it's more of a matter of you not thinking before speaking (typing). You're contradicting yourself.

No there isn't. There is ISIS SAYING there is an Islamic threat to every western nation, but in practice they haven't really done anything to change our countries into being more Muslim. The cartels south of our border pose more of a threat to the US than ISIS does and we don't talk about them at all. I'm pretty sure we could go without talking about or worrying about ISIS rather easily.

Besides, you are sounding like a hypocrite now. Banning Trump because of his rhetoric is unfair, but banning ALL Muslims for the rhetoric of the few is perfectly fine.

I will break now to consume a can of Unicorn Meat, stop to digest and pass it out and note that it looks, smells and tastes the same as before I ate it ( been around long enough to get over being squeamish)....

Canned by one of "The Town Clown "Trump" interests located in China of course.

I can't quite figure out who is more dangerous. The Trump, the people who gobble up the # he spews, or those pesky Islamic/Muslim terrorists.

By the time it is all said and done, the only thing we will have left resembling any type of constitution will be our own personal constitutions which will be even more tolerant of eating things we are supposed to flush down the toilet.

Wanna fix stuff?. Just have a general strike and see how quick those who think they are in charge will be forced to admit they are the slaves to our vacuous consumerism.

Just stop.

Ban? A lifetime never let any in for the rest of time ban?

Nope. A pause. To find out how we can prevent another terror attack by misguided people. Take religion out of it. These people were able to circumvent the policies in place to enter the country, live for 2 years and kill 14 people.

They immigrated here. If they would have been vetted you would have seen connections from both of them including the parents of the man who was a citizen. If you travel to countries where extremism exists, which is the entire ME, then when you return you should be questions. Does not matter your religion.

We are all arguing about if Trump is Hitler, which religion is right....when we should be asking how this can be stopped? Our government has failed and in this political season, he is simply saying what a lot of people in the US as asking, regardless of religious belief.

3 people who escaped extreme violence based in religion were shot and killed in CA by a person she worked with and knew. It was indiscriminate. That is the problem and what the collective should be discussing.

Remember, they wanted the sheep to think this was workplace violence again.

The "war on terror" has been going on now for 14 years. For comparison, our other "wars" against ideological concepts have been going on for much longer. The "war on drugs" is around 40 or 50 years since Nixon started it. So when exactly would we release this unamerican decree?

Vetted? Why should we have suspected them in the first place? Can I go around vetting random Christians because I think they'll act up and blow up an abortion clinic or something?

You ignore it. Terrorism has existed in its current form since the 70's. We haven't fallen apart as a country yet. Heck we weren't even overly concerned with it until 2001.

Terrorism is really just a cry for attention. By giving into it and pretending like we need to find solutions for it, you are feeding into what the terrorists want. If you just ignore it then it'll go away eventually because the terrorists will stop believing it will work.

Yea no #! It's basically showing that many Americans will listen to rhetoric over substance. Not surprising since I've called out parallels to Trumps rhetoric laced "make america great again" campaign to Obama's "hope and change" campaign.

Well, I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest with you. But you can blame political correctness and progressive policies surging under this administration for most of Trump's popularity. Remember how people felt about Bush? That's what pushed obama's popularity. Same deal, different sides. I just hope the left and right will compromise, decently, during the next presidency. I just don't think hillary (the already chosen choice) will compromise with those whom she believes are her enemy.

Perhaps your guilty conscience? I never said you endorsed her. Don't deflect about the topic.

Hey, you brought her up and start talking like I was endorsing her or something. And NOW you are accusing me of going off topic when you brought her up in the first place. Wow. You are just a pillar of terrible arguing techniques...

"Don't deflect about the topic" means don't tell me that I'm off topic when I talk about hillary, because it sounds like you don't want to talk about her messups. I wasn't telling you that you were being off topic, lol.

Trump supporters are the ones wetting their panties everytime someone says the word Muslim. Take Donnie's speeches and replace the word Muslim with the word Jew and people will be crying he's another Hitler.

Or take his word Jew and replace it with Christian and then he sounds just like a progressive liberal.
