What do you expect from a republican base

He’s in the basement of some pretty out of it people.

A party that wants to starve…prevent health care, coddle the rich, debase the poor, and voted in the man responsible for all of this twice--George Bush

This is just what can be expected from republican voters

I'd rather just not close our borders altogether. I don't feel threatened by extremism in the slightest. Christian, muslims, pro-life, right wing, left wing, what have you. My individual risk of dying due to a terrorist attack is pretty low. So I don't fear it. Let the Muslims in. Let the refugees in. I don't care.

Hey, I'm just wondering...

If by some small chance...you're in the mix of the next shooting (which there will be btw) will you come back to ATS and still be supportive? This is not a rhetorical question either.

I don't make claims about what I would do during or after being involved in a terrorist attack. Such things are highly unpredictable and it is impossible to say how any of us would react to such a situation. I'd like to hope that I keep my rationality afterwards, but we are all humans and we all fall to something at times.

That being said, I was in a terrorist attack while serving in Iraq. I was even awarded a Combat Action Badge for what I did when it happened.

Those are lone wolves that aren't supported by Christians, lol.

Muslims came out and denounced what they did in San Bernadino. So they were not supported by Muslims.

lol

Talking like a teenage girl does not give weight to your argument.

America has enough problems. Right-wing extremist sovereign citizens, muslim extremists, gangs, drugs, etc

So you agree Right Wing extremism is a problem as well. To combat that problem should we stop the Right Wing media from pushing propaganda on TV, radio and internet? Or perhaps we deport them back to the country their ancestors came from?

Why on Earth would you compound those problems by letting more possible extremists into this country?

Why would we compound the issue by letting the Right Wing to continue what it is doing? Remember, you opened this can of worms.

You're overlooking the big picture so you can insult religion.

I see the big picture just fine. Thanks for your concern. And in my opinion, Religion is not the problem here. It's propaganda and stupid people.

What does muslims denouncing the SB attacks have to do not letting more possible muslims come into America?

You should lighten up, it's not just teenage girls that laugh.

You should probably educate yourself in what right-wing extremism is, because "right-wing" would also apply to groups like Black Lives Matter. They fall under the "reactionary" definition of right-wing, just like those lone wolves. Lol @ blaming right wing media again.

Yet his support and numbers continue to increase while you continue to talk about him being consistently devoid of actual facts. I'd rather the lie of a thousand dancing muslims than the lie of a video being responsible, or if you like your plan you can keep it, period. Did the dancing muslims comment hurt you? Because not keeping my original plan that I liked hurt my finances.

So what you pretty much said here is that you have no problem with liars and will support one as long as the lies support your confirmation bias. What makes you any different than a rabid Hillary supporter?

Not much.

That position lacks integrity, honesty and intelligence.

It's probably safe to say that you've got comprehension issues.

No. I understand quite well.

I think it's more of a matter of you not thinking before speaking (typing). You're contradicting yourself.

How am I contradicting myself?

I can't quite figure out who is more dangerous. The Trump, the people who gobble up the # he spews, or those pesky Islamic/Muslim terrorists.

By the time it is all said and done, the only thing we will have left resembling any type of constitution will be our own personal constitutions which will be even more tolerant of eating things we are supposed to flush down the toilet.

Wanna fix stuff?. Just have a general strike and see how quick those who think they are in charge will be forced to admit they are the slaves to our vacuous consumerism.

Just stop.

Thanks for reiterating the ignorance that hillary and harry reid always try to say, that those on the right are terrorists. Now you sound as loony as they do.

Once upon a time there was a bigoted fanatical anti-immigrant, anti-Semitic, Racist, Anti-communist that ran for office.
His candidacy was not taken seriously and treated as a joke, because his politics were so ridiculously radical that no one in their right mind would vote for him, or so said the rational thinkers of the day.
By vilifying members of a specific religion and demonized people of other races, he appealed to the lowest common denominator, he was fiercely anti-communist and claimed to be a Christian.
He was a total joke, but then he got elected, the common wisdom said "Oh it's not big deal, he'll get rid of the Communists and then we'll vote him out!"
He did indeed get rid of the Communists, then the Jews, the intellectuals, the free thinkers, the Gypsies, the handicapped, gays and everyone who disagreed with him. Millions died as direct result. How did this happen? Because he was treated as a joke and no one (except his insane followers) took him seriously until it was too late to do anything but go along or die. His name was Hitler.

His opponents only have insults and a strange desire to tell everyone their feelings regarding trump, but fail to provide any rational counter-argument.

Trump is Kristallnachting his way through this Christmas season and you fault people for not providing a better solution?

Les...honestly

Yes. Listen to his speech and listen to the responses to it. It's not that hard to grasp, even for you.

such inflammatory rhetoric would immediately, as they say, 'go global'.

Oh, I don't think hillary will be the next president. I just think she's already the chosen one to win the democratic primaries. If I had to see another progressive in the white house, it'd be Bernie over her.

Trump is very well respected among many Americans. Just because he's not nice to some people doesn't mean should be disqualified. At least he doesn't call the left terrorists and consider them his enemy.

Like I said, you are setting yourself up with confirmation bias fuel. I don't buy into the standard conspiracy theory mumbo jumbo that our Presidents are decided for us ahead of time. There is no evidence to assume that is true and it shouldn't assumed to be true because you are paranoid and expect the worst from people. But hey, at least you have your rationalizations ready for the next 4 years.

Yeah he just considers all the left's supporting demographics as his enemy. The Muslims, Mexicans, black people, etc

What does who I'm supporting have to do with anything? For one, the Presidential candidate I'm supporting is irrelevant to a discussion about Donald Trump (unless I happen to be supporting the Trump that is). For two, you never asked. I'm not ashamed of telling you who I support. It's Bernie Sanders. Why are you getting so bent out of shape because I didn't read your mind and address your concern before you had to resort to using the caps lock key for the very first thing you say to me in this thread?

Yes. Whether the solution is viable or in line with American values is a different question. A solution, whether good or bad, is a solution.

Now, let's see if you can respond coherently.
