That is so hard for me to believe in this day and age. I know when I was a kid, you could not buy condoms otc. Now they are everywhere.

It is beyond ridiculous to assume I would not be willing to help a friend in need. My wife and I both have done it. Our friends have large families also - we know what it is like and we support each other?

...that family that I knew who's dad would spend his workday driving a school bus running kids to and from school who was getting help from social services because the $8/hr he made wasn't enough to support them should just lose that support and well then you can take the kids from that family since they can't afford to support them and pay someone a bit more affluent to adopt them with his taxmoney? No matter who well they cared for those kids or loved them??

I did not advocate for removing children from welfare - but adults who can work...absolutely.

After about a week after delivering my son, well I woke up one night to the feeling of my husband tearing out my stitches! Sex on demand = the obedience that every danged church in this country is more than willing to preach! There's a thread on this forum that asked the question, does the marriage mean that sex should be given freely, and many said yes!! if one doesn't want to have to have sex, then one shouldn't get married and refusing should be grounds for a divorce!

I'd invite you to come to church with us. I have faithfully attended Mass my entire life, and have NEVER heard anything like you describe preached in our church. It is not part of our faith.


My comments were to address the lie that there are no solutions other than murdering children. There certainly ARE options, they are just difficult / expensive / whatever.


Whatever they are, it is preferable to MURDERING children.

maybe we could just sterilized all the kids before they reach puberty and well then only reverse it when they are in a stable marriage with great incomes and have proven that they would be suitable parents. oh, ya, we need a future workforce of low wage employees.

Availability of condoms is irrelevant if you don't know how to use them or have been instructed TO use them. Here a link to peruse.

it was more than hurt feet, it was legs and feet that weren't functioning normally, still don't. so get a grip!! and dads have to work to earn money, and well we are told all too often to go where the jobs are which means often times there is no family. and gee, the church family...lol...ya maybe some help, but after the third child was born my husband ended up driving truck and left me with no car. imagine doing grocery shopping with three kids under the age of three with no transportation walking everywhere she went.

Ain't never been to a catholic church so I don't know what they preach, but well methodist, baptist, protestant, pentecostal, yep, and yep!!! they might try to water it down but in the end...YES!!!

one needs to have certain meds to function normally, the other will not develop normally with those drugs...

so we hospitalize pregnant women we first known to be pregnant to ensure that the baby's rights to nutrition is respected and she eats healthy? What is she happens to like a little junkfood, doesn't she have the right to eat some if she wants?

And that is where the argument ends. Only short term solutions with no regard for the long term implications or the idea to let someone else handle that problem. It's just a shame that these people can't see that we should just avoid that pathway altogether so NO ONE has to come up with a solution to make it work. I mean, FORCING parents to care for a child is straight up promoting bigger government. Yet when I pointed this out, not a single anti-abortion person acknowledged it. Because they can't, because it is hypocritical to their political stance.

It's all rhetoric and lip service. They THINK they want bans, but they don't realize what they are demanding and we just end up going in circles. This thread is likely going to end with a bunch of pissed off anti-abortion people and no answers provided because they have no answers. Just rhetoric to repeat.
