maybe part it if is trying to make the world a little more kid friendly??
ya know, single moms are always portrayed as lazy, on welfare, sitting on their arse all day watching tv.
young families are left to struggling on wages that are in no way adequate to provide for them.
and well in today's economy quite frankly, for too many having kids is a sure path to proverty!
maybe if we could make the rewards of parenthood a little more pleasing, well, things might be different some.
but instead, we tend to use pregnancy as a punishment for irresponsible sex, without even knowing the circumstances surrounding the people that are being accused! I don't blame women for wanting nothing to do with having babies!

I took the "morning after" pill once because a condom broke on my partner.

Am I a murderer?

I truly don't believe abortions should be illegal. Should there be tighter restrictions, absolutely. For example, a child under the age of 18 should NOT be able to go in and get an abortion without a parents consent. I knew MANY girls who had multiple abortions that Medicaid paid for back in the 80's in California. Some of these girls it had no psychological effect on but for many they had to deal with the effects throughout their adult lives.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who don't know how to use a condom. Ever hear someone talking about "double bagging" it when discussing sleeping with a notoriously loose woman? How many know to leave a small reservoir at the tip when putting it on (only applicable in the condoms that don't have it built in)? How many use the same condom for "round 2"? Heck how many know that you have to roll it down and just try to shove it on there?

Did you know that the reason the failure rate for condoms is what it is is because they also account for misuse when putting it on? I mean I'm with you. It is ridiculously sad that people can't figure out how to use them, but it happens all the time.

I respect your position and happen to agree that abortion is a horrible thing. But we have to make a choice here and no matter which side we take, it will not please everyone.

Either we can allow for woman to have safe abortions performed by trained medical staff within certain guidelines, or we can ban abortions which is the state forcing women to do with their bodies as they legislate. Yet abortions will still take place.

That's known as oppression and opens the door for the state to control other aspects of the sovereign individuals body, well beyond abortions.

So we have to make a choice. Do we stand for freedom even though we don't like what people will choose to do, or do we stand for oppression as long as abortions take place in secrecy and we do not have to hear about it?

A sensible reply.

And that makes much more sense than killing unborn babies.

That I do not have an answer for. My entire argument is on the premise of two consenting adults as that's the area the majority of these problems take place.

This is solely my opinion, but it absolutely makes me sick that these children can make life altering decisions without their parent's knowledge. It disturbs me greatly that these medical officials can legally lay a hand on a child at that age for that kind of a procedure without the consent of their parents.

It gets berated all the time, but I don't understand why abstinence is unacceptable either.

For situations like that, I really am at a loss for words.

So you don't see the unborn as having any rights to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness?

it is not acceptable for 11 year olds to be having sex.
but, they do.
this is nothing new.

also, i was clear on this issue of kids/teens having sex long before this article...
you just figured this out now?

No, I was shocked that schools were allowing girls of 11 to have an IUD placed without parental consent. I know whats happening in this world, just shocked that it has gone so far. I haven't had to deal with teenagers for over 15 years, so some things seem to startle me.

Thanks for your condescending reply.

I'm all for parental notification, not parental consent.

I can't imagine how traumatizing it would be for a teenage girl to carry her rapists baby to term because their parents are so pro-life the mental well-being of their daughter and her entire future are irrelevant.

What's your solution, other than murder?

This is exactly what I was asking in my OP.

If you read it carefully you'll see I was asking pro-lifer's to lead by example, some do but many of them are only out to push agendas, and beliefs without action steps to help the children born into our world.

I don't believe I said anything about murdering anyone in my OP, but i'll re-read myself and apologize if I did.

Why ask pro-lifers to lead by example?

What's wrong with the pro-murder crowd?

Unless that is their solution and they're fine with it.
