LOL, who's giving up on sex? The next generation of females who lost their fathers...are now looking for older men to fulfill that need. I know I have been hard at work, (as if it's work lol) and I personally love what feminists are doing. Its a lot easier than it used to be...not only to get women...but they love us older men, now that they have replacement fathers. I've never allowed a man to use me and thanks to feminism I'm less likely to be locked into situations where men can abuse me. Looks like feminism is working for us all. Perhaps these girls who are throwing themselves at you have their own personal issues and your just choosing to take advantage of that? Look, if a guy needs a strip bar to "have some space" or "feel like a man" then that's just more reason for men to evolve. You have billion's of pages of porn on the internet, put a lock on your door and stop crying for god's sake.

Men are definitely leaving the romantic scene (I'm one of them). While I do believe feminism is partly to blame, it's one of the minor factors. The main issue I see with feminism is how women typically get custody in divorce battles. As if past generations of male privilege mean current generations of males must suffer. It's the same deal with whites/minorities. The sins of our fathers.

There are other factors involved with this phenomenon. I think men have lost value due more to the evolution of technology. In general, men are physically stronger. When most of our hard labor is done by machines while we're just banging on a keyboard, muscles don't mean squat anymore unless you play sports or work in construction.

When a woman can do everything a man can do to and look much better while doing it there's no place for man anymore. It's the same reason I almost always choose a female character in video games. They have all the strengths of the male characters but look a hell of a lot better. It's merely an aesthetic choice, and if you look at any art mag/website/museum you'll notice way more female figures than male. We're simply breeders now. We've got nothing else going for us, and physical contact isn't even required for that.

One thing that feminism (not the extremist kind) has instilled within many of us is the idea of equality. So how come as a guy I'm expected to pursue women? No woman has ever asked me out. They're afraid of appearing slutty (what my mom told me). So how fair is that? I have to be the slut? No thanks. The last time I asked a girl out was in 2006. Now I'm 35, bald, and unemployed. My genes die with me.

Things may have been better if we were all just a neutral gender, there wouldn't be the question of sexism.

Women need to learn how to communicate their feelings correctly instead of being carried away by their emotions and treat men AND other women with respect.
Men need to learn how to respect a woman's word and basically put an end to disgusting violations like rape and other kinds of abuses.

My best friend is an unfortunate victim of this. Gone so long without interacting with the opposite sex, he has no desire to. Sad, really.

i kinda like it being alone. more peaceful. it has nothing to do with women.

i do like women but i prefer those who are strong and have no problems being alone.

Dude, I know how to change a tire, know when I just need to plug one as well (and even know how to do it to boot). I can change oil, tell which ban is the one making the irritating noise (have even changed a few of those), change my own air filter even. I also am the house plumber, electrician and well, all around handy err "man".

Except I'm a woman. I'm a woman whose father dumped her amongst mechanics who taught her a few things that happened to come around pretty handy. I'm a woman whose grandfather had me help him change out vents and light fixtures in my mom's house because I was very much capable of being the handy"man" of the house.

You want women to change their own tires? Well, hey, teach your daughters. If you want helpless women who run scrambling for a man the moment a fuse blows, keep right on at it. What perpetuates gender stereotypes and what people can or cannot do is, well, us. You don't like it? Change it. Raise your kids to do whatever they need to do or what they might be interested in even if that's teaching your son to bake or your daughter to sharpen a lawnmower blade.

Behind every woman who can't change a tire is a dad that didn't bother to show her how because she was a girl and behind every man that is at a total loss in the kitchen is a mother that didn't bother to teach him how to cook because he was a boy.

somewhere along the line I got the impression that in the old days there were women inventing and discovering different things but since the society was so male dominated alot of the times they needed their husbands to claim them as theirs to have them accepted.

you also have to consider how women of those days were expected to dress. It was cumbersome and made many tasks difficult to do.

Very profound post! And something I - as a hetero woman who totally rejects radial feminism and radical homosexuality - has been wondering about for a long time. I'm in my 60s and happily married, but I have wondered where young guys even find girlfriends today who aren't totally vicious bi***es.

I think the reasons are more numerous and insidious than you listed, however:

~ Public schools with mostly women teachers, who (consciously or unconsciously) push the Nice Little Girl mode of behavior. Little boys learn by DOING, not sitting still and listening, like little girls. By Middle School, most boys hate school, and have started "tuning out" older women - well meaning mothers and vicious radical feminists alike.

~ Girls, however, are enveloped by the mixed messages from female teachers and relatives. If 20% of the women in the U.S. are really bisexual, as studies claim, then sexual expectations are seriously skewed. And all it takes is years of subtle pushing for all girl classes, sharing beds on vacations, being constantly (loudly or unconsciously) told boys/men are inherently evil, and so on, to create this horrible divide we have now.

~ Psychology teaches that you never rip out a foundation without a suitable replacement. But the homosexual push for atheism (because they can't stand the thought of ever facing a Judgmental God for their despicable predatory practices) leaves hetero young people with little to believe in or take guidance from. And when radical feminists and radical gays use this loss-of-guidance and floating-anxiety against young people, their choice becomes to either join the evil deviants just for a sense of belonging. Or to isolate and suspect everyone of ulterior motives.

~ All I can suggest is to leave the cities and retire to small towns, where bedrock values are still taught and respected. It doesn't mean joining a church, necessarily, but finding a more normal pocket of folks who were raised fully understanding the difference between Good and Evil, and how hetero is really the bedrock sexuality of the cosmos, and the very best foundation for raising healthy children. And forming meaningful, non-predatory, non-ulterior-motive relationships with both sexes.

In school, boys are screwed over time and again. Schools are engineered for women. In the US, they force-feed boys Ritalin like Skittles to shut them up. And while girls are favoured to fulfil quotas, men are slipping into distant second place.

a) Is the author THAT anti-attractive?
b) When people respond with fear and disgust to your 'showing interest' you either do it in a very creepy manner or you have the Elliott Rodgers vibe. But was there actually understanding before? They were people. There're frictions between people. Not between 2 pre-set roles that might not even been chosen or wanted, where one of the 2 ruled over the other.

Gets me thinking, if you read about the history of motherhood you get to see how drastically things have changed. Right now there's probably LESS misunderstanding because now we're actually able to just tell and choose what we want and now men and other people can just listen instead of assume how female nature is/should be.
