I was flicking through the most recent National Archives release and I found interesting original declassified documents and video on the 1945 Trinity bomb. Where to share it???

Or how about "General Conspiracies?"

You'll have to add me to that list..I vaguely get a nudge with the name but that's it.

I'm guessing before looking into it, that it's in the same 'area code' as Stephenson....

IMO, the signal tactical act which changed the war and without which would probably resulted in a Nazi win was that brilliant bastard who dreamt up/ordered the "accidental" bombing of Berlin!

It completely changed Goring's tactics which were, up until then, winning the air war.

Yes I do spend free time going through historical archives I find it relaxing, albeit nerdy.

lol Well its not really a conspiracy. Other than really cool and interesting. Maybe I could tie it to the testimony of those kids Aug 6 1945 who saw the clean up form Trinity and said there was a crashed Object with creatures...but then I sound like Im all about the UFO ya know?

Here is a testimony of the explosion of a eye witness. I think this is where the term Mushroom cloud was coined.

Hey BTW you are good at general knowledge. In native American Pictographs, do you know what they wheel symbol is for? I know they didn't use the wheel so wandering what the sybolism of this pictograph is. (taken in 1971) I'd ask Byrd but she's not been around lately.

I know little about native American art, but a calendar is usually circular.
There is definitely a forum for that, though.

That first hand account is very cool, btw.
A history forum would be great, but the trouble is some of what people call history is less than that.

I believe I have.
I find nuclear detonations to be terrifyingly beautiful. In a very scary way.

Here it is any way, I find the guys loading it fascinating to watch, what were they thinking? Did they know this was the start of something that affected huge part of humanity in the coming decades? They look like they are just working on a dock

Apologies for not paying attention. I've been exceptionally busy with real-life-stuff, and only paying attention to operational aspects of ATS for the past few weeks.

Could someone explain why the current roster of topical silos our forums provide aren't suitable for analysis of various historical events?

Thanks for your reply Bill.

I like what you said on Page 4 to help answer that.

Maybe a "Hidden History" forum. A place were members research all the important events to peel back the official narratives, and reveal what really happened.

Ancient Civs, doesn't cover all history and not all silos cover a thread you may want to do that is discussion and analysis of a historical moment. I often hear on ATS that people don't think history told a "truth" so a place for them to present their version of history and have it debated and discussed. Not all history can be tied to a modern general conspiracy, the church or aliens, it warrants it own discussion.
ETA
My OP also helps answer that.

Being a history buff, I have over the years not created threads I'd like to do because they don't fall into Ancient Civilisations. There is a plethora of fascinating human historical moments, from THE Renaissance to Byzantium, to World Wars ETC, that I personally would love to discuss with members here.

I support the idea of a history forum for stuff that doesnt fit into ancient civilizations.

I support this idea 100%. We must have a history forum.
