I got to admit I am a person who embraces change...but to be honest, I like ATS just as it is. Please don't change it to that bubble world!

The icons on the new site are broken, using a CSS URI that breaks the cross-site rules. I see it like this:

Ok...that was a "Oh there it is..." moment...

then "Oh...no, it's not..."



Just had time to change my avatar cause the blinking eye was now in the middle of my forehead...

Fukushima ??...

For those who didn't try the 24 hour beta test, I can tell you that once you get used to the new site, it is a lot better in some respects, especially the uploading, and navigation around, it will just take some getting used to, but I loved it once I started to figure it out!

I noticed a typo in the member profile part but now that the old site is back I can't remember what it was...

The "New Topics" link is now pointing to the 53 site, requiring a logon....?? And using my beta credentials doesn't work.

Yes I saw it has some added things that make for a very interesting website to use.

The issue was the EYES.... trust me my eyes couldn't make out ANYTHING hardly.

and the Emotons and apparently the lack of " friends list" and ratings.

I honestly came here tonight to get some views/ opinion on the UK stance to Syria and now I'm just scared it's all going to change again and I won't have a clue why I'm here.

It all works and looks okay to me at least in comparison to the beta.

At my 1024x768 setup I definitely like hte old style. But at higher resolutions the newer style adjusts better I think. The problem is that hte old style shows more information, has better contrast and is more colorful. The new style has more whitespace, more icons, less contrast and has less colors.

BUT the new style does have a hovering icon bar at the top to quickly go to areas.

But honestly if I could choose I'd keep the old style for now.

So why not have both websites, one for phones and keep this, let us choose which one, when needed.. Every ones a winner..

Hey, you folks that PM'd me (thank you) haven't cleared the PM's I sent you! I'll give you a while before I delect my "out-box", thanks again for the "test PM's", I was worried about the PM's because I get a few from certain folks often (like "Druscilla" he he he "my favorite" and a Mod on rare occasions ...eeee ) and did not what to miss any of them, "on the "new board," thanks again!!.

Just when I wanted to post here saying that I like the new look... the old one has been restored
The new version may still have some room for improvement but I really like it, especially the light theme.

A problem I encountered and reported via email was that when I logged out using the mobile version I wasn't able to log in again as there was no button to log in. Only join was available. A couple of pages ago SO reported a rollback because there were login troubles and they had to look into that.

The horror... I have had a vision of the future and it was horrid...

The new design is even les functional that the actual, it mostly seems to focus on aesthetics and even manages to hinder functionality and navigation more, it also seems that old links to local resources will stop working (for example the posts list).

As soon as it was up I couldn't function anymore, and frenetically sought the preferences for customization without avail... (I also have local side tweaks to the site that will become corrupt with the changes, font size, css tweaks, avatar block etc ).

my understanding is that the big reason behind the new version of ATS is for mobile users.

So would it be possible to have the "new ATS" run only on mobiles and tablets yet keep the "old ATS" for desktops and laptops?

Don't get me wrong i do love some of the new additions to the new ATS but I am just wondering if this could be possible

I've wondered that myself.

I certainly understand their desire to make this site more useable in a mobile context. The current version doesn't work well. But content contribution doesn't really come from mobile users.

Whatever. Like I said...there are bigger things to worry about.
