I'm also a fan of the residents, I just figured most people would think their songs are downright awful.

Not something I could listen to frequently, but always good once in a while.

Crazy Clown Time
I didn't know there was a video for that song. I had hoped I was wrong for thinking it sucked. I never could listen to it long enough to actually make an accurate opinion, even though I tried a few different times.

...and now I see that the video doesn't do it any favors.lol
The video just makes it suck even more.

The unique video code (I.D. Number) for every video on Youtube, is the part immediately after the ?v=
which is the only part you need to use here.

The video sucks, but I won't deny that I still like 'The Safety Dance'.

Me, I don't dance. Never! So he won't want me as a friend, but that won't stop me from liking the song.

If I were to try, it would probably look a bit like this↓, but I'm not gunna try....[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/files/img/nx503cdf8c.gif[/atsimg]

Ah ok. I just assumed you didn't know how. I know nothing at all about the tablet thing. I may not even know what it looks like, but I think it looks kinda like an 'Etch A Sketch', but without the knobs?

Does it even play videos?
If it does, then just for the heck of it, try this:
Don't post it, but just quote this post of mine, and see if this↓vid will play for you in the 'Post Preview' area.

After reading that↑, I had to go back and listen to it. I was expecting much worse. I wouldn't say it was good, but it wasn't too bad.....

You reminded me of 'The Frogs'. This↓ isn't a song, but rather a collage of a few different clips, which is from the 'Smashing Pumpkins - Viewphoria' DVD. I've only heard a couple of their songs, but I'm sure they've created their fair share of terrible music. lol

The 'Homo' song that begins around 2:15, isn't all that bad. Not all that good either, but it's kinda funny.

I think this is down to personal taste here, but Metallica lost all my respect by putting out the Black Album. Thrash bands should stay thrash. Slayer managed it, you dont see them doing bloody ballads, even though Tom Araya must be pretty sad what with Jeff dead, and Dave having been fired again. Its just him and the Bald Bloke now, with Gary Holt from Exodus in to replace Jeff.

Typical metal fan. It ain't music if isn't thrash!

Metallica capitlized on their success. Hence the reason they're still relevant and selling out 30-100,000 seat arenas while Slayer is stuck playing places that seat what,3000? It's apple and oranges. Slayer was relevant 30 years ago. They sucked then and they suck now. Honestly, and this is coming from an ex slayer fan,I'd listen to Metallica's worst song(which trust me,isn't on the black album) over what you'd consider Slayer's best. There's a reason why bands like slayer have to play with 2-3 or 4 other bands now. They're just not that good.

First of all, I am not just a thrash fan. I appreciate many types of metal. Basically , as long as thier is some obvious violent intent in the music, combined with some sort of technicallity, charisma, soul, energy and talent, then I am in... when its for real. Fakers can go home (yes, I am talking about Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, and all the other mini mosher bands).

Further more...

I am not saying that the Black Album is the worst album that Metallica ever produced, but I am saying that the point at which they turned into a bloody soft rock band, was the point at which the rot set in. In my opinion, everything they did from the Black Album until thier most recent out put (which still wasnt up to the full par of thier capabilities) was a waste of airtime, and utterly awful.

And as for Slayer, the fact of the matter is that Slayer got invited to Bloodstock this year, and played a blinder. Although there are many Metallica fans who frequent that festival, not a damned one of them has requested Metallica for Bloodstock, because they know in thier heart of hearts that they just arent metal enough to be on the bill, and thats all there is to it!

Always good to meet another Residents fan.

I want to thank everyone for posting these Godawful songs. Some of these are new to me. Keep em coming!

I have a couple friends who think I'm nuts because I love Mrs Miller. She first recorded a couple pop songs as a joke.
(This was back in the 60s.)
She went on to record an album. I burned a CD of what I consider her greatest hits. Recently, I was driving by a restaurant that has an outdoor garden\dining patio. There was about 30 people dining and drinking their wine.
I drove by slowly, blasting Mrs Miller on my car stereo.

'DOA' by Bloodrock
That song came out when I was in junior high. It's one of the weirdest songs ever. What's really strange is that the local pop station played it at least once a day for a while.

Wonder if anybody remembers this:

I hated that song too. What stupid lyrics:

There is no end to what we can do together.
There is no end, there is no end.
The willow turns his back on inclement weather
We can do it, just me and you.

Sorry folks, I have you all beat:

Checkmate. Game over, man!

The only thing possibly worse would be for David Lynch and Mrs Miller to provide vocals to this instrumental.
