O Mara's asking what Trayvon was doing for 4 minutes, but if as Zimmerman says, he attacked George because he'd phoned the cops, you'd have thought he'd attack Zimmerman sooner, rather than later. What was he doing... giving the police a chance to try and catch him in the act of beating a man to death with his bare hands and no other weapon?

Thats 4 minutes between Trayvons last communication and the earliest reported time of the fight. You will recall the "Creepy cracker" comments. Trayvon had plenty of time to make it home if he wanted. He didn't go home. That is precisely the point.

The defense has called for 4 1/2 minutes of silence in the court room to show the jury how long Martin had to run home ... his fathers mistress lived only a football field length away .... This is very effective.

This answers my question!

I missed the much of the opening; I'm hoping that he honed in to the fact that the prosecution never painted a clear picture of the events of that night. This is important.

It is DOUBT.

Now, I'm hoping that he clears away any notion of manslaughter, by explaining that Zimmerman would need to have caused the action to happen, which he didn't.

No. ALL things he stepped back from claiming with any kind of certainty on the witness stand. I'm watching the trial too, ya know?

Live stream court reporters are saying that the State doesn't look happy and neither do the Martins. (Side Note - Martins father was looking at his cell phone during the closing )

So TM laid in wait for GZ to get off of the phone instead of going home and eating his skittles?

MOTF!

Doesn't seem like you are watching the same trial. ya know?
John Good was very solid. He didn't waiver. The fight was right off his porch.
He saw it. And he wasn't 'morally depraved' or anything like that for calling the cops.

Plenty of time to find himself a weapon to assist the beating he had planned, and to hide his sweets and drink down by his dad's g/f's place. Two things he doesn't seem to have even considered.

Oh, I missed the part where he basically said the prosecutor is crap. Must have been when I refilled my coffee, explains the sourpuss look even more.

There's a big wide world of opinion out there. Expecting them to all match your own would be unrealistic.

So what do you think happened in the 4 minutes of time?

Now that they have showed the charts and made sure the jury knows what the prosecution said in its closing yesterday was opinion to sway their emotions, Murder 2 is for sure not in the running anymore. Now after all that if he can remind them that the girl on the phone with Martin said that Martin told her he was going to confront the cracker instead of go home in the 4min he had,its over for manslaughter as well as he started the fight. Not alot more needs to be said.

The prosecution will get up and yell at the room again and throw a bunch of opinions again. The jury would have an answer today, but they will wait till early next week so not to get hit with violence over the weekend.

This isn't opinion. This is sworn court testimony. John Good never waivered. He stuck to his story.
Nothing changed. (And again ... it isn't morally depraved for a person to call the cops)

ON TOPIC --
MSNBC .. Two black talking heads are slamming the defense closing statements.

MSNBC is going to have kittens if a not-guilty verdict comes in.

When Zimmerman is found NOT guilty on all counts the ACLU will then come in and claim grounds for a mistrial based on the courts faith in a 'supreme being' overseeing the proceedings. How dare the Florida Court put their "Trust in God."

edit on 12-7-2013 by AmerigoVespucci because: (no reason given)

Side note ..... I watched about 15 minutes of Nancy Grace last night. I figured they'd talk about the trial. I don't think I've ever attempted that before. The woman was 'in your face' ... on top of the camera .. and she yelled and was very loud. I could only take 15 minutes of her and had to change the channel. I watched Big Bang Theory instead.

I think after hiding in the shadows for a minute or 2, and discussing what was happening with RJ, he started to walk south and Zimmerman appeared in front of him. He then turned back towards the T and when he got near the most well-lit spot, he waited to see what Zimmerman wanted. We only have Z's word for most of what happened next, but Z DID say "I walked towards him... erm... quick switch of perspective"

If Trayvon was really scoping the area out for burglary targets, and he was as experienced a burglar as is being suggested, The Retreat neighbourhood would have been the last place he'd be looking. Look on google maps and directly south of this neighbourhood is another housing estate that would be a burglar's heaven, compared to The Retreat. If Trayvon was going to be visiting his dad's girlfriend regularly, the last thing he'd want is to be spotted by one of Brandy Green's neighbours up to no good.

Since when are criminals smart? Applying logic to criminal activity is...laughable. Any logic, any intelligence present in the criminal would tend to drive them to other pursuits that are either more profitable and/or less risky than B&E.

I saw about 10min of CNN yesterday. They were all saying that the prosecution did great and definitely proved beyond a doubt he was guilty...I was like, really? what trial were you watching? One guy agreeing that he should be guilty said he did think it was dumb for the them to try to push the child abuse thing in there, the other lady lawyer said no its perfectly fine to try to find any loophole you can and sneak it in there if that is what it takes to win...wow

How outraged are these guys going to all be when its not guilty on all counts? Their outrage alone will cause people to riot...

Why you gave her 15 minutes of your time is beyond me.

She's a statist on steroids with a god complex. Can't get anymore annoying than that...
