You'd be right. I'm a little scared of Muslim zealots, as well as Christian zealots and all others. But I call them by their fruits.

That's where the whole libel thing came into play. SimonPeter implied that those who defy authority and rules (specifically those of his holy book) are criminals.

I'm not sure if he has access to police background checks, so I informed him of the possible irony within his post.

As for calling him my "friend", I'd like to be everyone's friend, to be honest. Just because I disagree with his worldview, he could be a really cool guy.

Innacuracy 2 Criminals hate rules.....To be a criminal one must first be tried and the facts looked at. You have chosen a quote, to sum up the entire Bible, that is completely out of character with the prescribed Jewish law. It was, is fact, a Buddhist saying 500 years before the appearance of Jesus, who is credited with this statement.

The Old Testament and its laws are based on the premise that the Hebrew, Yahweh fearing people, were superior to the pagans and the heathens that populated the areas that the self proclaimed chosen people raided and pillaged, and who's populations were murdered, enslaved and / or raped as the spoils of war. "Do unto others" would have been rejected as absolutely counter to their beliefs and goals.

The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is NOT a "good book" and the only ones who benefited from the "good life" were the rich Hebrew males!

I think her angle is TRUTH.

There's no spinning of words here, it's all in the bible for you to see for yourself.

A loving god does not go around selecting only a hand-full of people to be his "chosen ones" only to turn around and tell them to sack and pillage towns full of women and children. That's not how love works my friend, you can try to spin it whatever way you like, but it is NOT love.

Funny how these "chosen ones" were allowed free-reign over cities and towns to murder, rape, and steal. Sounds like to me that this "Yahweh" was their free pass to do whatever they wanted, almost like a scapegoat.

If you think that "doing unto others" is stoning a woman who is not a virgin on her wedding night, or enslaving a whole town, or murdering a whole town for not submitting to slavery, killing pregnant women and baby boys etc. etc. is a good thing to do unto others, then you are delusional.

You are the one in darkness my friend, because you don't understand what the true light of god is. You have chosen to be force fed "truth" instead of seeking it for yourself.

Sure, the bible is a great source of information on spirituality, but ONLY if you read the red words. The bible only contains a tiny fraction of Jesus' teachings, if you believe otherwise take a look at the Nag Hammadi library, there are tons f Jesus' teachings within them and many of them directly contradict the "official", mainstream beliefs.

If you choose to limit your knowledge to just one book then you are doomed for ignorance. Broaden your horizons, it'll do wonders for you I promise.

Also, my outlook on life is far from bleak, I have a wonderful outlook on it.

ETA: As for my reality being based on "consensus", you may want to step back and realize that there are more people that profess to be Christian than any other belief in the world. There are far less people that think as I do so if anything YOUR reality is based on consensus not mine.

The Muslims bible in Night Journey says the Jews were given the land to live in for ever . So says Allah .

The only problem I have with debating the accuracy of these religious stories is that
1) Jesus Christ is an archetype who has existed in other cultures and in fact most of his story was derived from other cultures with minor variations.
2) Religious institutions, as noted by David Graeber, were central to the state's accounting and finance. The point of creating stories of immense proportions is to overwhelm an unsuspecting population into a means of control.
3) The Bible is a patch-work assembly of stories and allegories intended to do the same thing.. consolidate power and authority under religious institutions. The Club of Rome today are considered by many to still be the power brokers in the world. Why would have Hitler, a rothschild funded dictator, would have wanted to assassinate Pope Pius XII? The money trail leads back to the people who are influencing the most minds. Why wouldn't it?

Now let's talk about the Occult and Lucifer. Essentially all religions are playing a hiding game. TPTB are hiding the truth from us about who these figures really are. Are these entities even real? They must be right? The symbols are hidden in plain sight, the practices and rites have been documented by people like Stanley Kubrick and show us that there is something going on here. I am of the personal belief that extra-terrestrial or inter dimensional being have consolidated power under the guise of "angels and demons." To an irrational or non empirical mind such a being might be considered to be something which we would call "Lucifer." It's not neccessarily a belief in evil, but a consolidation of power in entities which have strained the elitists who have controlled our societies for these few thousands of years that civilizations and the state have existed. In a communal agricultural environment, why would we establish precedents of giving control to centralized states? Basically we gave shamans some overarching power to deify and explain the world, concentrating our beliefs and explanations of life within them. The occult developed through this and was hijacked by these entities.
