So this is coming from someone who gladly accepts the trash that I toss out...

It's important to quote and understand the Talmud, as it relates to the Torah, through the eyes of noted Rabbinic scholars of the day, as it was their God and their book first. The way they interpret their right to females, (rape) based on their holy scripture.
Christians condemn Mohammed for having sex with young girls, while at the same time, Jewish scholars claim that Moses was having sex with, and condoning his people to have sex with female children as young as three years of age!
This custom was certainly practiced during the Old Testament era.

For what it's worth, I have always wondered why the God of the bible always seemed so insecure, if he was supposed to be omnipotent and what not.

So I guess anybody else who committed mass murder is a hard ass too?
John Wayne Gacey? Hard ass.
Adam Lanza? Hard ass.
Luis Garavito? Hard ass.
I think you have fairy tale version of god by think he's still a loving god after killing millions of people.edit on 24-1-2013 by 3NL1GHT3N3D1 because: (no reason given)

Insecure? If you discipline your kids, are you insecure?
We are his children, he cares.

But we discipline our children in order to make them learn from their mistakes, god just throws them in hell without ever having a chance at redemption. Would a loving parent throw their kid in a closet and leave them there for the rest of his life only for not being a Christian like them? I would hope not.

Rape is rape!
The fact that toddlers were betrothed at age three through intercourse is just more madness to add to the stinking pile of insanity that is laced all throughout the Old Testament Law.

Of course it was! Did they not kill Nazi's by the thousands? Weren't those Nazi's protecting their homeland just as Americans would if the war was at their footstep? Killing is killing, no matter what way you look at it. I may not agree with their way of life but they were still murdered in my opinion.
Do you think all wars are fought for the right reasons? Of course they aren't and they never have been. If those soldiers killed in the name of a lie then yes, they did commit murder, whether they knew it or not.
