Says who?

AV Pr 1:7 . The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Let me tell you that man had more faith than me. I would have cursed God and turned my back on him in frustration.

Not sure what your point was though?

Whoever said levitical laws don't count anymore.

Just for the record, here's a verse from revelation

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters,[e] were killed just as they had been.

Or doesn't this count because its the last chapter?

Has revelations started yet would be the question I suppose?

AV Lk 16:16 The law and the prophets [were] until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

What is this, four times now that you've neglected to provide scripture stating that any previous laws of god are null and void? Yes, it does state that the "kingdom of god is preached, and every man presseth into it." But that doesn't even remotely say that the old laws are no longer valid.

That is precisely what Job did,

Maybe you should read the book again, in its entirety.

Yeah, I'm done with your trolling. That doesn't even have anything to do with the laws of god or whom they apply to.

2 Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

AV Ho 4:6 . My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

I have sir, several times. Several times! In the end though he turns back to God and is rewarded, I would not be able to turn back after those trials.

Yeah yeah, is confession what you are getting at? Once again you bully with your knowledge and not teach.

I would love to pick your brain and ask you some questions, but I fear I would only be scoffed at.

I have not scorned you my friend!

I have ridiculed or judged no man in this entire thread!

All I've done is dispel lies with Truth,

As I said, sometimes Truth hurts, but when seeking Truth, there is no room for acceptance of lies,

Go ahead and ask any questions you have, I can almost guarantee you I've heard them or had them myself and answered them,

I used to be a skeptics skeptic and a rugged atheist,

I have ripped up Bibles and mocked Christians for believing in a "God",

All that changed when God showed me He is VERY real.

40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.”

So he said, “Teacher, say it.”

41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”

And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

1 Tim 1:15

That's actually going to be my signature now

Really? Real Atheists don't actually do that sort of thing because they really could not care less. It seems that only American 'atheists' who treat atheism like a religion do this.

So marilyn manson concerts where the singer rips up Bibles and "National Blasphemy Day" as held in 2009 in washington DC where people openly blasphemed holy relics and traded in Bibles for porn.... what is that? Are those Christian happenings that I am misinterpreting?

I fear we are drifting off topic. I will leave you with this though,

I think you are on a mission to teach the Word. And that is asked of us in the Bible. However, your current strategy is not leading people to God. (More flies with honey and all that).

Perhaps when leading you should start with your testimony. Show people what God has done in your life. Don't come in bashing them upside the head with scripture and expect them to spit it back at you. Not everyone memorized verses, not everyone that believes in God reads the Bible "at least 60 hours a week" like you.

So in closing, (and on topic) I ask you to tell us how God has shown you love in your life.

P.S. maybe I am too dense here, but I still didn't get your point about Job?

I'm not certain if any of your quotes were responses to my last question but I guess I'll have to follow my own interpretations of the scripture and try to figure it out.

I noticed that every time I asked a genuine question you responded with quotes that point to the fact you think I'm not a believer, I didn't mean to give that impression, however I find it remarkable that Christians quote that sinners will be punished etc etc but don't ever seem to just love people as god would and help them to achieve that level of faith you always seem to show in these public arenas. It seems like some would ather mock than lead the way to the truth.

Careful good sir, before you start a riot amongst The Real Atheists and the Pretenders.

Which is how I feel some Christians categorize themselves if they believe someone doesn't memorize enough Bible verses.

He is not a proper atheist. He is anti religion. You cannot be that if you are an atheist as God, for an atheist, does not exist so what is to hate?

@Doodle

Um OK. I will be quiet!

I have not pronounced judgement on anyone, I have not scorned anyone, and I do not memorize Bible verses.

All I've done is proclaim Truth,

If Truth is convicting you, that is between you and the Truth, I am simply a messenger, don't shoot me.

On another note,

Ask yourself what the motives of people reading this thread and this forum are,

I made a thread talking about nothing but LOVE and AGAPAO, the Greek which can mean LOVE or LOVE FEST, and it's got 0 replies.

Nobody wants to talk about love,

But I create a thread saying I will renounce my faith,

and I've got 70+ replies in a couple hours,

and people judging me saying I am too harsh because I will not just renounce my faith even though everybody who posted "atrocities of God" simply lacked correct understanding of Scripture.

This is proof of the plight of mankind and the fallenness of humanity in this day and age,

Everybody wants sensationalism and chances to attack fellow man,

Nobody wants to hear about Love or talk about Charity,

The point of this thread was to show nobody is able to "prove" God is evil, only prove they do not understand the context of Scripture and interpretation thereof,

I am sorry for us all,

I pray the Lord hath mercy on us all,

I love you all,

Amen
