Here's a SILLY QUESTION: Why did he use tear-gas? If he REALLY wanted to do maximum damage....why didn't he just re-enter....guns-a-blazin'? Why the dramatics with gas mask, full body armor, tear gas, lol. I'm sorry...but this is some WHACKED OUT shiznit! lol hahahahahah It's like: a movie, within a movie. Oh, and to thicken the plot.....he rigged his house with explosives?

To top it off: dude just surrenders to police? Well....let's see...he had a gas mask on so, no one saw his face, he dropped tear gas....to disorient people....started buckin' shots...then walked out the door and surrendered; and the cops didn't smoke his azz??? Dude could have easily blended in with the crowd...as they were frantically trying to get out.

Why is this guy still alive? Mass shooter typically ends up dead, by own hand or by the authorities. They just found him hiding behind a car? I probably missed something in the thread...

Notice this guy "assaults" a place where people are totally vulnerable and packed in like sardines? He didn't hit a police station full of armed police.

That is atypical of the type of person who has "lost all hope" and "blames everyone else" for all his problems. Then vows revenge (mostly to himself) and sets about "taking as many of them with him as possible".

That does have historical precedence. The difference here is that these tragedies mostly end with self inflicted shot by the maniac. He just walks outside? And submits to police?

New breed. No conscience. Enjoys it. Is that his mug shot after he was caught?

A guy clad like this, does he need an assistant to gear up?

This is purely speculation on my part, but I wonder if this was a psychological experiement with this guy, including an agenda of portraying hollywood violence. I can gaurentee he is making a statement.

That is not an unusual collection of guns. That is a very basic and vary well chosen selection of
survival weapons. Glock forty is an excellent weight-to-firepower ratio carry weapon for personal
protection.....the shotgun is first choice for home defense, and the AR-15 for a SHTF scenario.

These are by no means unusual....they are actually all very good choices for defense. The only
weapon missing is a 22 long rifle, and a large game rifle with a scope, .308, .243. 30-06 etc...

The conspiracy theorist in me is a little frightened about the actually VERY USUAL choices of weapons
for defense.....

Justifying a citizen fueled shoot out in a smoke filled theater with a panicked crowd, when the main perp is largely bullet proofed, is one of the dumbest ideas I have yet to hear.

I think it's because he surrendered and didn't fire at police, so they had no cause to take him down.

Which of the other mass shootings in American history occurred in movie theaters? I'm not remembering any of them.

I've had an account for a while now,but rarely post.I do,however,need to post now.Has anyone thought that perhaps this,(as well as various other public displays of evil such as the Columbine incident ) was not orchestrated by a lone gunman/gunmen,but a larger part of a sleeper cell unit,so to speak ? Perhaps a long term plan of attack by those that wish to destroy the second amendment,and bring the populace under complete control ? Terror tactics by a government is nothing new...just a thought.

it kind of sounds like a ploy to muck with the 2nd ammendment.

My heart goes out to the victims of the pointless act of Murder. WTH was this guy thinking, firing on children and adults while watching a movie, it doesnt get much lower. so sorry to the families now living a nightmare.

It comforts me to think you would be the first to run to the shooter and block all of his bullets to protect the crowd.
Or would one defending themselves be ok with you?
I do not "justify" a shooting match in a crowd, these folks were ambushed and forced into a situation.

It is not his current mug shot. Police indicated they were not prepared to release that as of yet.

No "just cause"????? Dude straight out MURDERED 12 people, injuring 59. And you say no "just cause". So then, what "cause" is "just" enough? Are you people feeling ok? Didn't a few days ago....cops kill an innocent man? Where was that JUSTice?

At this point, being "awake" has nothing to do with it. What's right is right, and what's wrong is wrong! Our sense of judgement seems to be a little distorted.
