It's just a website that harbors a lot of 'trolls'

I don't believe they knew what would come of his post.. A lot of things on the internet are said as jokes.

I'm not sure they knew he was really serious, and this was the result.

Regardless, that doesn't mean what they did was right.

Not true...

Look at places with comprehensive gun control.. compare the number of gun deaths per capita to those in the US.

Then let us know what you find.

Look at the total number of murders compared to the us per capita and let us know what you find...or do you find knife deaths preferable?

And crazy people aren't the only reason to need a firearm. Aggressive dogs, crazy animals or rattlers when you are hiking( i just shoo the snakes away but that is another debate).

But I like to hike by myself and being female, I would feel safer with a firearm. Especially since the woods attracts the crazies.

I'm guessing about 24 hours. Undoubtedly, the phrase "for the children" will be used at least 5 times

Already happening.

As a mom, I keep thinking,"My kids go to the movies all the time." Heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, senseless tragedy in #Aurora, CO.
— D Wasserman Schultz (@DWStweets) July 20, 2012 Florida Democrat

Sorry, where did she mention guns?

Or is that just you being paranoid?

Debbie Schultz has an anti-2nd history and she dragged kids into the quote.

I'm just taking it for granted that a politician with an anti-gun history is still anti-gun.

Good.

Who likes Batman anyway.

I do. I love Batman, actually. He's pretty much the sole comic book character who I feel strongly about. When I was playing WoW, I saw the character I had there...my avatar here...as my own mask, and at times tried to positively inspire people in similar ways. Mirshalak is my own Dark Knight.

Here's a Google Map. I can't cut and embed it from here. But it doesn't look like its very far. I can't find an address for his apartment? I'd like to put that on the map too.

That's because people use other, less risky methods. Like taking a kitchen knife and stabbing someone.

Not sure there is any evidence that comprehensive gun control lowers murder rates.

And your earlier facts about crime are questionable at best, considering many European regions have higher crime and violent crime than America, which you ignored

Failed logic.

If this had happened before now you'd be saying "a month before". If it happened while the UN was discussing it you would have said "while it's going through". If it happened a month after you'd be saying "just a month after!!!"

I don't like name-calling, so I'll just say that I think you have a grasp of "tin-foil hat wearing schizophrenic"

There is no evidence for anything you are suggesting. You're just weaving reality into your delusions.

You sound like an intelligent person generally, but you're really not making any sense. You're incorporating complete fiction into real events as though they actually happened, and even quoting movie lines as "evidence" of something!

no...

it was just a bunch of internet nerds...

this loner stumbled onto their little gang and when he said he was gonna shoot up a theatre they egged him on, probably thinking he'd never do it... I'd be surprised if he ACTUALLY knew any of them...

Sounds like a mass shooting at a mall/movie theater. I'm listening to the police scanner and have heard at least ten people are dead or not expected to survive. There are also reports of an explosion/additional explosive devices.

The scanner link is here: www.radioreference.com...

News link: www.9news.com...

UPDATE:

At least 14 dead, 39 wounded.
Police aren't sure about the number of suspects.
Witnesses say shooter(s) were wearing body armor and gas masks, used tear gas before shooting.
One suspect in custody.
EOD bot checking car for possible explosive device.

I just woke up and Manhater told me abut this. This is unbelievable. You should be able to go to the movies in relative safety. I'm shocked. My prayers are with these families. Words just don't seem adequate enough.

Greeneyedleo lives not far from where all this went down and she also says that Chemical Co. place is not far. About 10 mins away.

I must go offline now but want to offer my sincere support to all of you who are being affected by this.

Mike

There is of course that evidence...

Look at the murder rate in places with little or no guns... a guy with a knife woulda had a hard time killing 14 and injuring 50 at a theatre...

There IS a corollary though, and that is that America has a higher murder rate, when you subtract guns, than most Europeans and Asian countries...

Guns don't make Americans prone to murder, but the access less them kill more people more easily...

They said he/they came in through the emergency exit. Those doors automatically lock from the outside upon closing unless a certain feature is activated on the door itself, meant for employees to take out the trash and come back in. So, I wonder who let em in...

I'm basing this on what I've seen happen before.

The other thing to understand, detached, is that you can't ask for concrete proof of the type you seem to want, because you'll never get any. Look at the prosecution of Al Capone. Ness knew how much he was guilty of, but the only thing they could ever nail him on was tax fraud, because they had no way to prove any of the rest of it.

It comes down to pattern recognition. You look at history; you look at the other events going on at the same time of the shooting, as people have mentioned...the background picture...and then as the final question, you ask, "Qui bono?"

Who benefits?

We never had proof with JFK. We'll never have hard proof with 9/11. All we have, apart from forensic irregularities, (and there are plenty of those) is to look at who the beneficiaries of those events have been.

You can also look at the fact that it keeps happening, over and over and over again. After a sufficient degree of repetition, I personally feel that there comes a time when it is necessary to rule out randomness and coincidence.

You are right, guns have a much higher killing capacity unless you are a super ninja assassin.

BUT,

If the coward hadn't chosen a theater with a no weapons policy, it would of never made it that far.

Well yeah, I think some of you are really out of touch reality sometimes. There really crazy people out there.
www.snopes.com...

No, it's not some crazy false flag to get your guns. The UN Treaty doesn't even ban guns nor is it going to be passed in this country. It's just another sad, schizophrenic person who got a gun. Happens everyday.

That's a very fair point. In Sweden we're lucky that there aren't too many dangerous animals/people in the wild, but I would definitely want to carry if I went hiking in the wild in the US...

A guy with a gun should have also had a hard time. You are assuming people might have fought back more valiantly against a guy with a knife, but that is a big assumption. He also had explosives, and teargas, and body armor. He might have killed just as many with the knife. In fact, if his goal was to kill as many as possible instead of creating mass hysteria, he might have quietly shanked 50 people and never even been caught!

The issue here is not the method of attack, it is the psychology behind the attack, the PTSD, and it is the website folks egging him on, and it is the lack of resistance to his attack once it started. When people just run and take cover, they are just easy victims. Instead of running away, how about everyone charge? That way a couple get shot, but not nearly as many.

Gun or Knife or Poison or Gas or Explosive really makes no difference to someone intent on killing.
