Since when do presidents, or presidential candidates, comment on every criminal act that occurs?
I know it's a BIG crime, but is it really necessary for our president to respond immediately?
Are there historic reference to responding to these things by other presidents? Why?
If any can answer these questions, I'd be thankful.

A few weeks ago, a man by the username of 'JamesHolmes154' posted a thread on 9gag saying he was going to 'shoot up' a theater. He was clearly distressed and admitted? he was suffering from PTSD. He said he was going to walk in and try to take as much lifes as possible. The whole 9gag community egged him on and give him tips on what to wear, etc. They give him tips on sharp-shooting and sent him messages on how to take as much lifes as possible. 9gag is a sick site and needs to be destroyed.
From the reports coming in this seems to have been a well-coordinated attack with multiple shooters, who reportedly used tear gas before opening fire. This strongly suggests the shooters have an understanding of certain military tactics. I'd be very appreciative if any members with military experience could offer their take on it -- especially Marines and those who served in other units where they would have been trained in how best to make surprise attacks.

You make some really good points....and I actually do think...keeping him alive will be more of a punishment for him. I was upset about the 3 month old baby...and my emotions took over.

How long before some idiot politicians blames the guns used and pathetically attempts to use this as justification for more "common sense and responsible" gun control legislation?
I'm guessing about 24 hours. Undoubtedly, the phrase "for the children" will be used at least 5 times
As a mom, I keep thinking,"My kids go to the movies all the time." Heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, senseless tragedy in #Aurora, CO.
