There will be NO more discussion of anything other than what has been addressed in the OP, namely the use of Ad-hominem attacks on other members, checking your Ego at the door and making damn sure that you are using civility and decorum at ALL times for ALL topics on ATS.

This is NOT about one specific subject or another and any attempt to make it into one will be removed as off-topic. This thread is NOT an excuse for you to air your discontent regarding a particular topic, thread or Staff Action.

Plenty of facts. You're dodging my question. Christians on this website are attacked all the time.
So if it's going to be fair treatment to all, that includes Christians. So from now on, when I see you or any other evolutionist attacking me or any other Christian, I will report you.

This thread is about attacking people's integrity simply because they have a viewpoint that does not conform to your own.

It is perfectly possible to discuss an issue without resorting to personal insults or trying to slur the poster that has the opposing viewpoint.

I had thought that was clear from the title, and the opening post.

Apparently people want to make it about more than that, and derail the subject. This thread is not the place for peoples personal agendas.

I appreciate the thread. If we are to leave our ego's at the door, could we, in exchange, get a thicker layer of skin?

Though, I take it as a badge of honour when the only reply/riposte' someone can give is an ad hominem attack.

I get the occasional post stomped (see above) because yes, my style puts me on the edge of the TLCs occasionally.
I always said my english coach was my hockey teacher...( hey Mz D!)

On one of my threads two posters complained that they had tried the same topic politely and their threads had sunk like stones, where my thread had a couple of really good drop the gloves duals on it..and it managed to make a few pages.

ie the passionate argueing while trying to stay in the rules gave the thread its legs

the same sort of thing just happened here...the bulk of posting is from passion...reason not so much...
the fail comes when there is no room to be swayed by the good arguements that should lead one to the truth..

thats when the the thread crosses the line into modville as it should...

I wish we had mods in the house of commons here in Canada...LOL

you should have seen the look on Beez's face the day I first starred one of his posts
we almost never agree on anything...I could just never bring myself to slug his darn AV with a truncheon,
so basically by following the rules described by Nef in the OP..we have both learned stuff, and we keep an eye on each other's posts because OCCASIONALLY one of us is right, and the other of us benefits too
