Can anyone tell me what a "circle jerk" is? I'm from the UK, and we don't have them over here (to the best of my knowledge).

In England, I think it is called a rugby scrum, and in Canada, its a hockey face off.

Thought this was funny...
There were lots of persistant contrails today.
Funky ones too.. one that even spread into a large cloud that took up a significant portion of the sky (by significant I mean maybe 10-15%).
The thermometer in my truck read a max of 82degF.
The average for here in KC [on 16/4] is 55.
If we're getting sprayed, it's not working.

I just found this article from today and it´s very interesting regarding chemtrails. Whether this source is trustworthy or not, I don´t know. Interesting read.

If true... Are there any mechanics that can indulge themselves in telling us if it only concerns US inland flights or does this consider aircrafts in Europe too? So far I have only(?) registered this problem to be in the US.

What IS this liquid? Some stupiditygas, or ignorancegas or something?

this single letter pulls the rug out from ALL howard's and off the street's very well-'craft'ed arguments. even if it's NOT true, it describes a plausible scenario. happy NWO! the leader is good! all hail the leader!

Interesting read Hellmutt.

The fear of losing your job, and maybe not being able to work in your field ever again, is commonly used to keep people quite.

Hah. Ok, chalk up another body in the war on chemtrails. Seeing as the author, if authentic, just committed suicide.

Seriously think about where this is coming from... prisonplanet? not exactly extreme but pushin it.

That is one of the funniest things I've ever read. I worked for years as an electronics technician and just from reading the article I can tell you the author is no tech! He or she is just making stuff up that sounds good. They aren't even too computer-literate. I like how they say they 'tied in to the manufacturer's files'. That sounds like a line out of a 70's sci-fi movie!

The navy ship I was on used the same gas turbine engines that are on many jets. While I didn't work on them I know the temperature was monitored by more than one sensor. I'm sure OTS can be more specific here.

I'm supposed to believe that this mechanic's boss is in on the whole chemtrail thing? How many thousands of airports are there across the country? How many different airlines use each facility? That must be something like 10,000 mechanic supervisors per shift for three shifts. That's 30,000 mechanic supervisors alone who are 'in on it'. And not a single one has ever talked?

The FBI can't even monitor an internet connection that fast. They get a warrant, install equipment at the ISP, set up the proper filters, and 'sniff' and record all traffic from the IP address in question. Then they take everything back to their local office and analyze it. This isn't done overnight. I know this because I've seen the equipment they use to do it.

As for the site it's posted on, I won't even go there...

The "mechanic's story" jhoax, although it is dated 2005 in your citation, goes back to 1999 or 2000 and was debunked several times.

Here's some examples of why it was so easy to debunk it:

"For reasons you will understand as you read this I can not divulge my identity."

Of course. The reason we understand is so that no one can check on the lie. As a matter of fact, i was talking to a guy yesterday who proved to me that he is the long lost King of France, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, too. You would believe him in a minute if I told you who he was, but I can't tell you who he is.

Of course, you still believe me, right?

Duh.

"First, I should tell you something about the "pecking order" among mechanics. It is important to my story and to the cause to which you have dedicated yourself.

This person doens't even know what an A&P does! An A&P (airframe and powerplant) rated person is given a list of jobs to do and he or she does it. If an A&P mechanic can't do a particular job (and remember, all the tasks are outlined in online User and Maintenance Manuals called IETMs (Interactive electronic Technical manuals) then the A&P will remove the module replace it, and send the failed component to either the depot or to the OEM, depending on what the component is.

There is no such thing as "electronics" mechanics, or "toilet" mechanics, etc.

As a matter of fact, thr A&P people don't even flush the waste systems, it's done by the same kind of folks who clean the aircraft, add the food, and refuel the airplane. Ground crews, yes, but not A&P mechanics.

Of course most people who believe in chem-trails simply aren't familiar with aviation, so a hoaxter can take advantage of that ignorance and pull a fast one on you all ....

... Again.

If you're really interested in actually finding about about it (and I have my doubts) , who not go to a site that teaches people how to be A&Ps -- like, say,

www.aviationmaintenance.edu...
www.techschooldirectory.com...
www.aeroseek.com...

and a bazillion more.

Why is it that no one here does any real research?

I was going to stay away from this thread just because I feel doing the same thing over and over but getting the same result is the definition of insanity. Then I saw OTS's answer, now I am not saying this aritcle is real or not but....

I do know aviation, and before I went into my current field I was a car-salesman, so I know what a car mechanic does too. I have two friends that are A&P's for a major airline. I hav'nt talked to them for years and I am not sure how to contact them but I will try. First I see that OTS you said an A&P for a jet airliner does'nt specialize? Are you kidding me? A car mechanic for a Chevrolet dealer specializes! You have what is called a heavy, he works on drive train, then you have a mechanic that specializes in electricle, you then have what is called a driveabilty mechanic he does stuff like door squeaks, wind noise, rattles, then you have your general mechanics that do things like brakes front end alinements and things like that.

I am sure that a modern airliner though is not nearly as complex as a Chevy Malibu, so I am sure they just do everything. No Avionics specialist, no enginge specialist, no guys that are in hydrolics specialties, no one that does control surfaces, it is just so simple a mechanic can just do it all!

Kinda makes ya go hmmmm......

P.S. OTS remember the B747? Try and not put your foot so far in your mouth!

Of course there is!

Aviation electronics is a whole different set of skills compared with say an airframer or power plant mech.
And yes the crap tanks are cleaned by the service techs but they don't actually work on them.

And if that letter is from '99-'00, as you claim, let's see some proof.

(I think we've got an outbreak of foot-in-mouth disease in this forum)

Anok, if you and Code 3 weren't afraid of real research, you could've chased down the information in a few minutes. You can find the "Mechanic's Story" on www.carnicom.com... where you will also find the "Airline Manager's Statement" (also anonymous, of course) dated May 2000, which responds to the non-existent "mechanic's" statement.

Anok, why do I have to do all your work for you? Just because you're a newbie to the chem-trail hoax and don't know the history of these scams doesn't mean you can't actually go out and check it out for yourself!

Code 3 says:

"I do know aviation, and before I went into my current field I was a car-salesman..."

Now ther'e a real resume for discussing atmospheric physics, meteorology, and the like.

"I have two friends that are A&P's for a major airline. I hav'nt talked to them for years and I am not sure how to contact them but I will try."

Right. Everyone claims to know all these A&Ps, but for some reason they will never actually say who they are or provide anyone else wirth their "information".

"Kinda makes ya go hmmmm...."

Rather than go "hmmm", why don't you go research?

"P.S. OTS remember the B747? Try and not put your foot so far in your mouth!"

Of course I remember the B747!

When I make an error, I am the first to admit it.

That's the main difference between us, Code 3.

I love you guys. Never let the truth get in the way of a good fantasy. I'll tell you what "even if not true" means; it means that the story is worthless. In fact it is worse than worthless as it is a blatent lie told by someone in an attempt to get us to believe a load of paranoid rubbish.

Oh, BTW I think I know what a "circle jerk" is now. I in my country it may well be common practice at ancient, very expensive schools that our "elite" send their kids to. I hope you all have soft hands.

First I must say this is not the best I have seen someone skirt the issue, the point Imade was that OTS said that there are not specialists in A&P work.

"P.S. OTS remember the B747? Try and not put your foot so far in your mouth!"

Of course I remember the B747!

When I make an error, I am the first to admit it.

Please tell me where I have made an error, if you can I will of cours admit it, now I am not the one that tried to act like I was an expert when It came to what an A&P does and does not do. You the other hand should read your previous post over again. I only brought up the B747 because again you act like your lookin down your nose at others while stepping in it.

Then you tell me to do research?!? You go do some research instead of googling!

You also completly missed the point I was making about being a car-salesman at one time! Either your perseptions are less than my 9yrld grandson or you are trying a feeble attempt at spin. Dont even try spin my friend I sold freeking used cars for 10 years bubba, I have had pros lie to me.

The Car-man statement was in reference to the car-mechanics?!?

Oh yeah and FatherLukeDuke, my hands are a little ruff but I will where some rubber gloves.
Nice to see you have a sense of humor!
